Has anyone encountered this, my 76 is somewhere in the 6-8" lift range and now the parking brake cable sleeve's? are too short to run up to the brackets on the frame. I have thought about trying to peice together the late model style setup on it or just removing them altogether until i swap in a 14b and disc's later then i'll just use a line lock or possible a driveline brake. Im just looking for a quick temporary fix, any ideas?

From what I recall the earlier model cables are bare and run within guides. It might be a simple matter to fab a new cable or swadge an extension on if you have access to the right equipment.

need drop brackets/tabs for were the cable body clips to the frame bracket/tab. this will lower the cable down and not be streched. then hook them up and adjust.

I have thought about lowering the brackets but they would need to drop down at least 3 inches. From what i have found all early trucks used the same length cable housing/guide. I'll probably wait and get a later model 14b and make the late style setup work until i swap for disc's.

yep thats about the length of drop bracket needed if i recall . its simple to make section of angle iron to drop it. 2 holes. 1 for cable to clip in and other for it to bolt to factory bracket.
