Parts hoarding.

My buddy and I always are giving each other crap about taking our meds for the day. We start texting truck question stuff and then it's links to craigslist ads. Everyone is right about hanging on to stuff that they might need for later. So many times have I looked at the piles and wanted to clean for scrap. Weeks later I'm digging thru stuff and pulling parts that would have gone.
So, I just bought some enclosed trailer to stash to good stuff.

I know how you feel!!! I have 5 np241 cases right now, a dead 700R4, another with doubler, a suburban body, 2 blazers for parts, and tons of other stuff! I could probably actually use more of the parts if I sold some of them! But then I wouldn't have all of the parts! What's an addict to do?????????

As I am looking for certain parts, I could probably help some of you guys out... :D

I'm a mild hoarder, just don't have the room to buy as much as I would like to. Although I will never live up to my dad's hoarder status. His collection: Everything to build a Model T minus the actual tub, (2) 1930 Buicks, 1930-31 Model A, (6) 1933-34 Fords, WW2 jeep tub, (2) WW2 jeeps (complete vehicle), (3) WW2 gp Ford prototype jeeps, 1942 WC-53 3/4 ton Dodge Command Car, 1943 White Armored Scout Car, WW2 era 37mm cannon, 1962 Dodge m-37, 1968 Kaiser M-715, not to mention the room full of doors in his basement, stack of 33-34 ford frames at my brother's house and the stash of 33-34 ford grills in his attic lol

What killed me from doing this was back when I was in school. Didn't really have much place to store parts so I couldn't keep much. Had a wrecked truck to scrap and was cleaning up and threw in 2 sets of factory spring hangers, thought Id never need them.

6 months later I needed a set for a truck. I might have made $0.25 scrapping them and it took 2 months and $100 to get them back. I always think of this when I consider scrapping something.

I thought of this thread today when I consolodated all my transmissions into one area....wanst a.pretty sight.

I thought it was cool when I told my wife that I planted an axle garden in the back yard!! I had 5 axles in one spot, hoping that the D60 and 14B would make the 10 bolts grow! She didn't care for it too much and made me move it behind the shop after 2 years... Now I have a transfer case garden at my work!! These are the best gardens to have as no watering!!!:D:D
