People with HYDRO ASSIST come on in.

For some reason, 25 and 30 inches (the short side and long side) rings a bell. I think that's the length I had mine made to.

Mine are 48" and 42". I got the PSC hose kit that has reusable ends. All I need on the trail it a spare lenght of hydro hose and I can swap my ends over in about 8 minutes.

Now that's sweet, assuming you can find a length of hose. I carry a whole hose since mine are both the same.

Mine both are 4' long. Ill report back after this weekend when the 52's go in with the new hose setup.

You can get the ends at grainger. They are about $12 ea and come in various ends (both size and bends). I really like them. My hoses started as one 8ft piece that I cut to length (tape + hacksaw) and put together. We blow a 30ft hose every month at my shop so extra hose isn't much of a problem. Just have to wait till another rookie drops a lift on the hose again.

ram-assist hose diameter and fitting size

I'm running the rock logic set up, and running the stock hoses that came w/ the set up. I saw in the beginning of this thread that a few people upgraded to a 3/8 hose from the 1/4" that comes w/ it and to 6an fitting instead of the stock 4an. Did this accually make a difference in the responsiveness &/or the amount of force the ram puts out.
The ram seems plenty responsive, I would like more force though.

For more force you either need to mod the pump or go to a larger ram. I actually ended up modding my pump after the first run for more pressure and speed. Afterwards it had way more force than I will ever need. For the new buggy I'm gonna run the same ram except in full hydro configuration with a KRC pump.

My hydro assist all came from Matt at WTO over 3 years ago. I did mod the stock pump but I think either my pump is going south or something else is wrong. I was actually overheating the fluid. I am now going to get a PSC pump and see how it works. My crossover came from Scott at Rockstomper over 4 years ago. The only change I made was I went with a Sky steering arm which is over 3 years old too.
