here are the details..i put this together very cheaply

6 inch bds springs (200 bucks)
ord flip (100 bucks used)
7 inch diy shackles (70 bucks used)
15 inch pro comp shocks (60 bucks)
superduty towers (25 bucks)
angle iron rear homemade inboarding kit (10 bucks)
12 inch bds rear shocks (50 bucks)
brand new 2 leaf 64s (50 bucks)
2 inch a blocks that bolt to the spring pack solid steel (free)

i bought just about everything off here...i have just under 600 bucks in this setup..anyone can get flex like this for this kind of price you just have to watch the axle wrap...

anyway i thought this would help a few people asking insted of poluting other peoples thread..thanks for viewing..anything elce you want to see just lemme know

id be concerned with 2 leaf 64's, they give great articulation but on a heavy truck i think their days may be numbered with alot of flexing. looks good tho

here are some questions for wasted wages

Did you buy all of your springs from BDS ???only the fronts

what are the length of the fronts ?
did you redo the front hanger and rear shackle
mount for the front springs?stock i think like 48 inches eye to eye or something like that..my shackles and position are stock

64 " rear springs!!! - holy crap dude - did you have to relocate the spring hangers for the rear
also ?i moved the flip about 6 inches or so back..right where the hump in the frame it i had to cut that out then i welded the flip in place

what type of driveshafts do you run ? im running a rockwell rear 1410 on a clocked 203/ford 205 doubler behind a 700r4...the front is a square 1410 fixed yoke..i hve no cv's in my truck cause im cheap
( how much slip in the splines )

whose parts did you use for the flip and center shock mounts ? DIY4X or did you fab your own.i have a ord flip and the shocks are tied to a piece of angle on top of the frame...i could use more up treavel but it works and as said above im cheap

A few close ups of your rear spring hanger and shock set up would be cool...

Thanks for those last pics I was wondering how I was going to cut the Furd shock towers to get it to fit around the steering shaft.

I got a rear spring question, How many leaves are you running on the 64" pack? I got 4 in mine, and they are sitting damn near flat with no weight in the truck, plus the shackle is almost at a 60 degree angle to the rear. I think I need to add a leaf...

Did you have to do anything other than grind the ford shock towers to get them mounted like that?
What are the length of the shocks?

Don't forget that longer springs and/or fewer leaves means the spring pack will wrap easier and can cause axle wrap.

Many people have success with 64's, I bent the crap out of my 52" spring pack and had ongoing axle wrap trouble until I linked the rear. Long travel leaf sprung suspensions come at a price.

Just something to think about ;)

Here's how I did mine awhile back:
Cut a "v"

Then bent them, tested to see that they cleared;

Then welded them and painted.

Hey twoslow, have you flexed it with the front shocks mounted? Did you have enough uptravel? When you say your using 2-leaf 64's in the rear is that including the overload? I got 2-leaf +1 overload 64's and I added an additional leaf to level out the truck
