go to ORD and go to the products page and look for them, they have a good description. They basically either lift your rig 1" like a block, or move the axle back/forward 1.25 inches /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
The perfect tire size, hmm...... well I can tell you from personal experience once you get the set you want you always want a bigger set! Kind of like a set of knockers /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I would say some 39.5X13.50X16.5 TSL's would be perfect /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
[/ QUOTE ] Guess that depends on what your doing. With 1 tons, you'll loose some ground clearence. I'm not into rock, so I went with 36's (3/4 tons, hope to upgrade to a D60 front sometime)
39.5" TSLs are 15" wide. The IROKs are 13.5 if that's what you were referring to.
I run 38.5x16 with 6" of lift and I still run my inner fenders. I was going to run 39.5" next but I'm seriously considering some more work to my inner fenders and trying to clear 44s with 6" of lift. I really think it can be done, it's just going to take some work to the cab floor and maybe some more hacking the body out of the way.
If you don't want to cut your fenders, just forget about any tire larger than about 35x12.50. The fender openings just aren't large enough without cutting to allow for full suspension travel with any more than that.
Hell no!!!! Go with a big fat daddy 12 inch lift, and some 40 inch tires.Tall trucks are the [darn]. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif nice to see another Jacob,Jacob /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Instead of claiming i fully know a dirrection to lead you as far as moving the axle forward or backward,i will save you the trouble and re direct you to the ORD site here at ck5 ....ask for steve /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif(havent got to that stage yet) /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I have 3" Tuff Country springs and clear 37" MTR's. Next set of tires will be 39.5 Iroks with the same lift. I did not cut the rear quarters but the fenders are cut pretty good. Still have the inner fenders too. I don't plan to add any more lift when I get 39's but I will add a 1" ody lift if needed.

Thats nice but I'm thinking 38.5 tires are minimum. So how much lift (6") and cut (any idea in inches) for 39.5 tires?

I ran 38's for years with a 4 inch suspension and a 2 inch body. This kept ,e center of gravity very low. I had to do a little fender trimming . I also upgraded at the same time to a Dana 60 14 bolt combo, so I don't know exactly what that did to help clear.
If you want to get out of the mud more and into the rocks keep it low and hack. I would say the best set up would have to be 4" of lift with 39.5" tires. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
