I'm about to put a rebuilt 350 back into my truck but want to do something to it just to give it a little extra umph then it used to have. I was wondering if the performance kits you can get that includes a performance intake manifold will work with the TBI. I've heard about the performance injectors.. but where do you find those? And would a perfomance manifold be any good without a performance Throttle Body? My pevious trucks all had carbs so the TBI is new to me.

alright, well i guess noone knows? Or noone want to help me out... anyways i found the answer, i guess you can either get a manifold thats specifically desined for throttle bodies, or you get an adapter plate to use a regualar carb manifold? Is that right? I see the manifolds are about $250 and that's a little out of my budget right now with all the crap I'm already planning on having to buy.

Yeah, that's what I'd found... but that's just too much money to put on top of what i'm already gonna have to pay for a long block. Maybe a future upgrade once i get my truck back on the road. But would a performance manifold be much good without a performance throttle body?

Oh, and by the way, anyone know of anywheres to get a good deal on a rebuilt 350? Cheapest I've found so far is a dealer in AZ going through Ebay.

A performance manifold will help some just not a lot. If you wanted to do it cheaper you could find a good used performer carb mainfold and just put a tbi adapter plate onto it, thats what I'm running. You can find them all the time for 50 bucks, even your local junk yard would probably have one.

yeah... used to have one but stuck it on my 74 K10... and sold it with it on it. How much are the adapter plates?
