Performance water pumps and radiators

After talking with kis2 who said it was mostly a drop in install, I got the 3 row Champion radiator (part number CC716). For cheaper than the 3 core plastic/aluminum radiator from O'Reilly too. I'm a little worried about the thickness of the 3 row vs the 2 row (3" tank/2.5"core vs 2.5" tank/1.75" core), but I can get it swapped if need be.

I'll make sure I post up when I get it installed some time next week with pics for posterity.

I was in the engine bay taking measurements for the radiator and I noticed I still have the A/C condenser in there. My A/C died 6 or 7 years ago, so I should probably take it out to improve air flow. But then there will be nothing between the new radiator and the bugs/dirt/snow coming in through the front grill. Is this an issue, or should I just leave it in there?

I don't put tons of miles on my truck, but I have driven it for a long time (10 years) with no condensor and never had a problem. FWIW, not all trucks had condensors from the facotry obviously.

I'm sure you will find someone who had a radiator punctured by road debris, but it can't be too common, I've never heard of it happening to anyone.
