Phil's '88 Big Blue Build Thread

I'm a light-moderator so I don't think I have banning privileges.

I can't ban myself over there, the option is missing for my own profile. I can however check and see if I have any alts under my own IP address. Which is odd.

I have 33,800 posts over there, BTW. About 33,750 of them were from before I bought a Blazer. hahahaha.

Unless I missed it in the thread, aren't you getting a rear bumper?

Yes, I don't know when though. I decided against a tire carrier, because I haul things way too often with the tailgate down.

The RLC one doesn't have a receiver, but I'm sure he could put one in for me. I really like the ORD one, if they ever get bumper production going again. Much longer though, and I'll have RLC do it.

You could still have the rear tire carrier but you'd have to remove it a lot. Either way your truck looks great.

I like how the lifted blazers stand over the jeeps. And we may not be able to go on some of their tiny little trails but I bet we could make our own.:waytogo:

Thank you, and that's exactly what I think! These guys are pretty tame too, I haven't even pushed the Blazer on their runs.

In addition, I can carry 5 days worth of camping stuff, and from the outside you would never know. Their rigs would be sprouting crap from racks all over the place.

I work at one of the biggest Jeep shops (not really, its an all around 4x4/performance shop but jeeps are where the $$$ is) on the East Coast, and it definitely blows my mind how they all want the same stuff.

So Phil,

Are you a lead foot Louie? I've seen guys with big blocks break 10 bolts. Just wondering how you are going to top that

Oh no, I'm pretty easy with my stuff. The problem is if you spin out on something a couple of times, you have no choice but to hit it a bit harder.

My 77 had a 12 bolt with a gov lock, and I never broke anything.
