Photos of game you've harvested

Got this monster Saturday right before dark. Season closed sun. Deer hunting in Utah sucks. The state does a horrible job managing the heard. There are lots of big ones but if you don't have one you've scouted all year ready to go opening day then the overabundance of hunters quickly runs them all into the places you will never find them. Oh well, it was fun and it will all get ground into jerky except the back-straps.

1997, this is the first buck I shot in Colorado. 350 yds 0700hrs. He was a freakin' bugger to drag back to my K5. Just a few years later, the Hayman burn scorched that area and the Forest Service road has since been closed. About 3-4 days earlier, it snowed 18 inches and I packed up and left before I got stuck there(no chains, no winch and was solo). I went back a few days later and shot this guy first thing in the morning.

A conversation I had with the stress analyst at my work a few weeks ago. She's a sweet heart and from Israel. She and her husband moved to Colorado ~3 yrs ago. I asked her if they have jackalope in Israel and showed her pictures online of the animal. She had a very confused look, but said no, they do not.

After a few minutes, I did tell her that I was joking, ha.

Snipe hunting is next....

Did you boil that or have it done? I've always been afraid I would leave it in too long and the sutures would separate
I did it at my buddies house. He's pretty good at it. Boil it like 3-4 hrs then scrape. Boil some more then scrape again. Pressure was it the next day then bleach it. He's also got a hose attachment you shove up in the brain to flush it out.

I think I'm gonna try that next time. The ant hill method doesn't quite get it clean and the dogs keep trying to run off with it
