They are considered a nuisance, but occasionally I'll eat them. To me they taste like a squirrel.

Here's a little 6-pointer I got during shotgun season this year. I also got a little doe LEFT-HANDED during bow season. Because of a herniated disc, I could not draw my bow right-handed. She wasn't much of a trophy, but she ate real well, and I'm proud of her. Sorry, no pics of her though.

Here is a better pic of the deer in my avatar. He was an 8pt with a broken off browtine I had a pic of him with his browtine and the taxadermist matched it up pretty good, but dont have any pics with it fixed.

Always up to pic whore my rig and game. Got this last year. About 140lbs dressed and 11 points. Biggest buck taken in the 35 years of the 12K acre ranch we hunt.

Yeah, me too. I only get to hunt the rifle season in Oklahoma that starts the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I hunt with my father inlaw on his lease. I'm flying out the first week in October to help setup deer camp (two day process) but is a real nice setup. One of these days I need to hunt more with him as he does Spring turkey, deer archery, deer muzzleloader too and always asks me to fly out but work and his daugeter always seem to get in the way.

I get to do a couple of things that I enjoy doing, hunting and wheeling. I can share some of those things here so just keep watching.

Here's a picture of my wife's rig (blue) and mine (red). The next one is a view from our hunting.

What wheels and tires??

I still have another month and a half before I can bow hunt.:( After last year's injury, and learning to shoot lefty, I don't know which way to go. Gotta sell one of the bows, still don't know which.:dunno:

Not formed right, I'm guessing it was damaged when he was in velvet, but who knows?? It is a small fork on that side. One more to go!

Yeah, I'll prep the hides for tanning, but I still have last years hides that need to be brained and stretched. That step takes 6-8 hours per hide, and you can't take breaks for very long. I don't think I'll ever throw away a hide again, but I'm not taking others hides, it's a LOT of work!

Congrats Mofugly. My uncle got one opening day.

I need to wait for X12 and October this year.

Good luck on the next one. Remember you can't eat the horns.
