Picked up a new truck yesterday!

Thanks dudes! I Still dont know exactly everything that i want to do to it but so far;

Things to do for sure;
new tires(32x11.5)
1"zero rate in the rear
"rebuild" the doors and window components
new dash
Part time kit

Things that would be neat,
2.5"lift
33x12.5 BFG or SSR's.
new carpeet
new paint
trans shift kit
headers and new(quiet)exhaust
edelbrock intake and carb
old school warn bumper with an 8724 and a pair of KC daylighters

So we'll see out of alll that what ends up getting done and not.

Sweet rig....reminds me of when I was a kid, my dad and I went looking at Blazers, in '79. He wound up buying a pick up. Got a deal on a left over '78.

Well no wonder the steering was a little loose! turns out, the Drag link end on the axle side wasnt tight in the steering arm! I was wiggling stuff around looking for loose stuff and everything seemed tight untill clunk clunk, clunk clunk, the nut is like 4 threads backed off(only held on by the cotter pin, and the DLE is just rocking back and forth in the arm! HOpe the taper is still ok.

Getting a new set of tires Wednesday! Picking up a brand new set of these!

I'm diggin the tread design on those tires! May have to pick up a set for the Dmax after the Michelins wear out, let us know how you like em! :thumb:

I hate you, i would love that k5! Looks good man, a 4 inch lift and 35s would look good :D Just dont scare the 10 bolt/12 bolt lol.

Thanks guys! They are going to be right at $650 installed mounted and balanced. The more i look at the design, the more i like it! will post pics after i get them tomorrow at 10:45!

So i love the tires! They ride and drive better then the old worn out wild countrys. Think im going to try them out in a little snow this weekend!

Personally I wouldn't touch that Blazer in any way except for what you already did with the tires. I'd leave it alone and just drive it and take care of it to make it like Artzners rig: original.

Who knows? Maybe some day you might come across someone who has old fond memories of these old trucks and they will want to buy yours with the offer of a nice sum. And I mean a nice sum. Theres always someone out there like that.

I think hes got a good point,not to many like that anymore.
Tires look gooood, I`m sure they will be sweet in the snow.:waytogo:

Dont worry dudes, Thats the plan. Here pretty soon im going to give the motor a little love with a set of gaskets, timing chain, valve seals and an oil pump. hoping at the same time to get the original oil pressure gauge working again so i can get rid of the aftermarket one below the dash. Also might put a 205 t-case in it next summer. Kinda wanting to sell off my pickup so i can do a few more things like carpet, and some other here and there stuff.

I want the pickup we need to make a deal send me some more Pics !!
