Thought I'd show you all my next mission for the Jimmy. I got a pretty good deal on a hydro sm465/ np205 combo from an 86 k30 :woot:. I should be picking up a pedal assembly this weekend. Then I should just need master cylinder, slave cylinder, and lines. I will probably be installing around spring time, any suggestions?.. got a couple of quick pics for ya.

what say you CK5

I'm thinking that the 205 has been worked on since it doesn't have a slip yoke anymore. Granted that is good, but maybe just check it over good before install.

Yep, but from what I know, an '86 was slip yoke. The one I have out of an '85 is that way. My '79 K30 is fixed.

good find, you will be happy.i love my 465.i hate autos.every one i had falls apart.the only problem ive had on my 465 is the trans coupler.but it was also 30 years old when it broke.lol.should just bolt in and have to drill new holes for the crossmember.getting the hydro set up and in place will be the hard part if yours was auto.gota line up the push rod perfectly strait where the shaft push rod goes into it from the pedal.other than that it seems pretty simple.may need to change the driveshaft lengths as well.

Im not a fan of automatics either so I cant wait to swap it. good tips too! I just need pedals still now but I should be able to find some of them pretty easy.

Crew cab = fixed yoke
std. Cab = slip yoke

After 80'

Im pretty sure it came out of a standard cab

z bar and push rod for the clutch on a manual trans as he said.looks to be missing the clutch fork and the end that attaches it to the clutch fork.could be used but still needs the pedals.

You won't need that Z-bar. That is for a mechanical clutch setup. Mounting the clutch master cylinder is actually about the easiest part of the job. There are punchouts for all of the clutch stuff, you just have to drill them out.
