OK guys, lets see your pics of your (hi-steer) hydro assist ram location, I would like to get mine off the front of the diff, but not sold on the spring plate location either, not a lot of room for many options but lets see what ya got.

mines mounted on the factory steering stablizer mount, then tabs on the tie-rod. it works for me, but you obviously have hi-steer, so naturally it wont work for ya

I've got a set of Kurt's DIY4X spring plates, figured they'd be more weld friendly than the cast stockers. I'm going from the spring plate to the tie rod, and at full extension the mount at the tie rod comes VERY close to the spring plate on the opposite side. Basically, my ram barely fits between spring plates, lucked out I guess. I've got to gusset the mount at the spring plate, then I'll be done. I can get some pics when I'm done.

This has held up to years of abuse. The cover is from Frisbee, 1/4 plate. No problems with the mounting or the cover coming loose etc. . Just ram leaks
