The fix on the light switch was no big deal. Again, they changed several things on the 88-91's. In the company's defense.....it says through 87. I think that light switch opening would hit the mark if you had an 87 or down model.

Gonna concur on the light switch being moved by GM starting in '88. My 90 I tried to install a bezel from a '78 and everything worked out pretty good, except the headlight pull was off by an inch or so. Not sure why...

I believe the headlight switch actually moved in '84, when the wipers moved to the column. So technically, it doesn't really "fit" any year. I don't see a wiper switch opening.

Here is my new bracket to relocate the transfer case support rod up where I can get a 3" pipe through.
I installed all of my sending units for my guages. When I was installing the engine coolant temp sender, the manifold cracked as i pulled my last 1/8 of a turn on the wrench. Of course, I had already filled the coolant system with Be Cool coolant. I just had a plug in it before I put the sender in. I had to drain the coolant, completely blanket and tape off the engine compartment, grind the manifold down where it cracked put my welding blankets in and then weld the manifold up. Then I had to grind it down, retap the the hole with a 1/2" pipe tap and then reinstall the sender. And clean up a giant mess. All of this just to install my temp sender. I have a little more dress up on it. When I finish it, you will never know it happened. I filled it back up with coolant. I am going to try to work on my wiring at night this week. I have a 3 day weekend coming up and I am going to try to work on it all 3 days if everything works out as planned.

That sucks! I always worry about that when im dealing with pipe threads! Glad to hear you been doing some stuff and that you will be doing more soon!

I don't know what I would have done if that had happened to me. I'd just be screwed. There's no way I would have been able to do a job like that. I salute you ThundersOne!

I had this billett mount for an odyssey battery for a boat application. I thought......how hard would it be to adapt it to fit this battery and rig up a way to bolt it to the existing tray.

Here is a bracket I made out of aluminum to hold all the fan relays and power for all of the new electrical components that it did not have before. Everything mounted on the plate secured with holes that I drilled and tapped. So if you need to replace one, you just unscrew it. You dont have to try to get access to the back of the panel. Now I just have to wire it all up.

I am extremely anxious to finish it. I just can't get the time right now to attack it and finish it. I did get it where I could hit the switch and roll the motor over. If it would have had gas, it would have started. That was the equivalent of "just sticking the head of it in."

Here is a shot of how I am going to pull all of the power for the coolers and new accys off of the battery top posts. I also reworked the fuel line at the front where the flow will be better. The fuel line is done with the exception of relocating the vent line to get it up higher and more protected...but thats an easy fix.
Here is a pic of the vent that I am going to relocate to higher ground. you can see the little filter on it. I also insulated the fuel line where it went by the tranny cooling lines so that there would not be any heat transfer to the fuel line.
