Figured I'd post a couple pics here in the tow rig section. Nothing hardcore tech about it but I pieced it together from parts the local Kragen had. Figured for the tow rig it'll get the job done.
The first sleeve is a 3-3/4" to 4" adapter then the chrome 4" sleeved mount then the filter neck is 4".
I'm planning on building a heat shield to protect it from the engine heat but I can already tell a difference. You can actually hear it sucking in air now. When I was merging on the freeway you could hear it over the exhaust so we'll have to fix that at another time. :D

Yeah it's a cleanable re-usable style element. I have a recharge kit I can clean it out with then re-oil and be good to go.
The Norcal guys brought up a good point about the temp of the air it's sucking in so I'm going to either run it straight up to the grille and move the battery or possibly cut a hole in the fender and box it around the inner fender well so it gets cold air. We'll see what I can do.
