If they already had to replace the engine I would like to know what kind of abuse the rest of the truck has seen. Also, make sure the engine came from a reputable place.
If you do have to replace the pitman arm HAVE FUN!!! When I had to to do it on my 95 with the same miles it was a pain. First I broke the puller trying to get it off, so of course had to get another one. Then I had to cut a slice in it, heat up to a nice cherry red, put the puller on while it was still glowing, and then it came off. It was a PITA.

pickle fork will take that right off

Why in the world would it already have needed an engine at only 123,000 miles? That right there would make me pretty leery of the truck...either run ridiculously hard, or not maintained at all.

Sounds like typical manner of a 4wd truck on pavement. I beleive its called " crow hopping"I drove around in 4wd this morning and when I turn tight on the pavement the front jumps... is it just from the one extra tire having power up front or do they have some form of a G80 that was offered for front ends?
My RPO codes say the rear is a GT5 G80 so I know the rear is 4.10's and has a G80 locker but what code explains the front?
