Pictures & Trip Report From Indiana Fun Fest 4/16

Went wheelin' down in Southern Indiana Sat. A few picts were taken. The Fun Fest was hosted my Monroe county 4x4 club. It was basically a big party with some wheelin' thrown in.

The K5 ran well although a header collector cracked pulling it off the trailer on Sat. morning, I just might make both exhausts open header!

The terrain was basically rocky ravines and some creek runs.

Here is a picture of Jim's squre tube K5, Tuned port, 60 & 14 bolt, full hydro. Pretty cool rig!

Finally got this thing flexing pretty good. Rides alot better too!

Yea, I guess so. Here is another old K5 tubed up with square,

On mine, I just got tire of body damage so the top rail is 3/16 angle and then 1/8" x 2" sq tube to produce a bed side. Now I can pivot around trees or rocks with nothing but tree sap on my paint!

Is round tubing structurally stronger than square? I really don't know. I'm sure sqare would be way easier to work with!

Strength comes from surface area and surface tension, which round has more, which is stronger. But hell, we're fourwheeling 1 mile per hour, not going 180 mph inside a concrete wall!

Yeah it's easy to weld but you still have a bunch of miters!

You know the story, if you wheel it enough they eventually get MODIFRIED!

Yeah, I cut off the outer skin and fabbed in some angle and sq tubing. Pretty much dent free now.

I live on the west side in Brownsburg. Plan on meeting at the new Redbird State riding area on May 21st. We'll be there.

I was near Spencer, just south of Patricksburg, down in the boonies!
