Title says most of it... Now for the questions... Front is rather straight forward an easy don't really have any questions I'm going to flip the L bracket from backside of body mount to the front... Prolly use stock shackles and see how it is but will prolly build some 5 inches... Now for the back... I already know the 56's will push the hanger mount back... And when I say ima do a shackle flip I mean literally build one.. I need to know how far down the flip drop the spring eye location and how fat back the spring eye mount is from one of the mounting holes for 56" springs

Well after digging and digging I think I've answered all my own questions... I'm trying to keep this as cheap and simple as possible I'm currently unemployed and doing this as something to keep me busy until I can find work... I'm going to do the cut through the stock hanger shackle flip with well thought out bracing and 56's for 4" of lift then the 52's upfront with the front mounting position forward and possibly longer shackles

Then again.... I see people saying use 3/4 ton 56's what the reasoning behind this? I was going to do some 1/2 ton 56's... And another thing are my stock half ton 52's going to be ok in the front? Or do they even make 52" 3/4 ton's?

From my understanding the majority of 1/2 tons had 52's and the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks had the 56's, so that is probably where the "3/4 ton 56's" comment comes from.

For using 52's in the front there were different variations of springs available, but generally they will be pretty soft.

Oh ok thanks for the clarification... We're the 52 and 56 the only variations of springs in these trucks? At least as far as 73-87trucks 73-91 burbs blazers?

They're the only lengths of rear springs, yes. There are however a number of variations of each in terms of number of leaves.

K so as long as they come off the same vehicle I should be set I double count leaves to be sure... Damn I ready to have this lil thing thrown together... Fired it up this evening for the first time in a few years... Just got to get the patched gas tank back up in her weld the spring perches in place on the 14 bolt sf and swap in the new u joints flip the shackles get the 56's for the rear and swap the 52's up front relocate brake lines and she's ready for now... Other then needing to regear the front to match the new rear

I always get the leaf pack with the most springs in it, then I subtract leafs till I get a nice ride
