I installed my cross member correctly for transfer case and now when doing 65 and letting off gas it is little louder then before.

Can anyone give me a run down on angles I should have at pinion, transfer case etc? Stock K5 with 14 FF and 17's.

I know the front u joint is factory still and rear is napa conversion u joint.

I usually set the rear pinion up so if you drew a line through the middle of the pinion to the t case, it would hit about an inch below the center of the t case u joint

I'm presuming you want no noise but don't want a CV driveshaft cost?

don't want to do anything till know what the noise is first. then install my 4 inch lift then see where at, if need drive shaft then guess i will have to get one made.

right now looks like out of drive shaft hanging out.

pic help?

Hope this month and then following month do gears

See anything going on? Besides chip on fin of tcase

Looks like lots of angle at the pinion. The real solution to no vibes is expensive though

Yeah. Think it also requires a SYE kit for the tcase as well.

1) no SYE needed, just CV with slip shaft

2) is this a stock truck, stock driveline, stock height....? Why would you be getting vibes now?

looks like your pinion needs to be rotated up, but again, why would anything be wrong if it's all stock still?

might consider checking pinion slop, might need to tighten the pinion nut a little or you have bearing issues

and yeah, definitely don't mess with the driveshaft till you get the lift
how are you lifting it? Flip or springs?
A flip would benefit from a CV shaft, it's really the only way to go

yes sir
it's basically a flanged CV that you bolt the slip on. The shaft itself doesn't collapse.

knowing Mark a little, I feel like I'm being trolled LMFAO

Honestly didn't know they made that sore of thing

I own nothing without a 205

All stock but 14 bolt FF axle and H2 wheels with 17's.

I just fixed transfer case cross member where the spacers where between frame and cross member. Now the transfer case cross member sits flush to frame rails.

Lift it using front TC 4 inch springs with zero rates moving axle forward 1 inch.
DIY4X 4.5 shackle flip in back
35's once lifted
Looking at doing 4.88 gears (have 700R4)

Also K5 is 87 TBI

Like the truck to ride good so if want to take on a long haul won't drive me or family crazy.

The flip actually helps the pinion angle a lot, but then you can roll the axle however you need

I just don't think I am going to have enough tail shaft in the end for the lift, seems like alot of it already is hanging out.
