Pinion angle with new 8 inch lift?

Will do I'm gonna get a magnetic angle finder today as well hopefully be able to post some more concrete info later

So here is what I got angle at the output shaft in transfer case is 6° and the shaft angle is 25°, and the rear pinion angle is about 11°. Was wondering if these numbers look normal or where to really go from here

Assuming the t case output is pointing 6 down and the pinion is 11 up, you'd need to shim the axle down 5 degrees to be spot on but you'd be better off going 6 degrees down. Probably won't find a 5 or 7 degree shim. 6 or 8 will get you close enough.

what that guy said....

if you're still having issues at that point, it'll be best to start thinking about a CV..... and even if it works, going that route down the road is still a better option.....

also as Dorian mentioned, take a good look at how far all this has pulled the shafts out.. I have to imagine an 8" has pulled them out a fair amount... if you need to lengthen them, going CV at that time would be wise..

Appreciate it guys very helpful, next question is does anyone know what the shims are on a 4 inch skyjacker leaf from the factory having trouble finding out what I have right now so I know what shims to get.

give me the thickness of the thin edge, the thick edge and the length and i'll tell you what they are.

Yep, sounds like 4 degree however, the length would help me figure it up exactly.

5" long should put that shim at 4 degrees with the specs he quoted.

Thanks fellas appreciate the help, I have a cv shaft coming hopefully this week then I will adjust from there. I know I might have been able to adjust with regular shaft but I felt like it was and upgrade that I liked and kinda needed. My question now the picture posted pre iously in thread on the geometry of the 2 different shafts is the stationary I'm assuming?

Just an update and a thanks for all the help. I went with the CV driveshaft, just put in truck last week. I also put the rear leaf shims back in the original position with the fat part of the shim to the rear. No driveline vibration and the geometry looks great from what I read on all info I got on here. Going down the road awesome and no noises!! Thanks again guys.
