Pipe bender cage STARTED TODAY!!! pics inside

I like the bed/rollbar design.

I also get a kick out of all the people who are hell-bent on saying that schedule 40 is dangerous. They will go on a long spiel about how DOM and chromoly is so much better, but never once mention anything about 4 or 5-point harnesses, racing seats, helmets, side protection (ie. running without doors), etc.... I hate to tell you, but there's more to overall protection in a serious rollover then just the cage. Just take a NASCAR with the top of the line cage, but put a guy on a benchseat with a lapbelt on and no helmet and see what happens in a wreck where they would normally walk away.

If pipe = poop my rig is the SH!T

"want in one hand and "poop" in the other and see which one fills first"

thats what my grandpa would say everytime I wanted something. It usually meant i was getting "poop"

It's funny how that fits in this thread:haha:

I love getting you guys going. Obviously

Looking for ideas on a seat mount now. Don't know if I should make them connect to my sliders or extend my sliders then connect the seat mount...

your putting a seat in the back?

No, I need mounts for the beard seats in the cab. Not sure how I want them attatched yet, or if I want to put doors back on.

if you are doing an internal cage or already have one then just run diagnol bars forward from the b-pillar bars and then run bars across the floorboard to mount the seats to.

i barely found this thread. :haha: gotta get this back TTT. i got 12 21' sticks of SCH 40 sitting and waiting to be bent and welded for the 'cage, sliders, and bumpers. better than nothing...& with good thought out triangulation, 5 point harnesses, Corbeau seats, and padded pipe in critical areas, i think it'll be sufficient. once i finish school and get my stuff paid off, i'll look into a full DOM 'cage. other than that, great 'cage & nice lookin' co-pilot :D

I like what you have done for your tube bed. I am looking at doing something very similar on my truck. Keep up the good work.

M-1028, your tires must rub that bed like crazy. I rub at full stuff and I've got mine level with the body line on the cab. I had to ditch my front fenders because I cut them so far up there was no point in having them. I'm planning on narrowing the front about 6"-8" on each side now and adding pipe along the hood as a slider. I seem to be pivoting a lot more now that I have body armor, it really helps in tight places I couldn't go before.

That's the bad part, whenever there's action nobody takes pics because they're too worried I'm gonna roll... :haha: I got a killer video of me crushing a Nissan pickup and some good pics on my phone, I'll see if I can get anything uploaded this weekend. Post #38's got a link to my webshots, there's a couple pics in there but nothing spectacular. :doah:
