Pitbull Rockers-review

A friend of mine competed in Top Truck Challenge in 2008 on a set of 44" Rockers on his Scout. Blazinzuk was there as well. If there was ever a question on how Rockers work in the mud he answered it. He and his spotter were able to finish the Tank Trap in about 16 minutes or there abouts. Came close to finishing the hill climb (the only reason he did not finish was not because of the tires). He did well in the rocks, tow test, frame twister, and the obstacle course. He was not able to run the mud pit because of a motor problem. He and his spotter were able to finish the Tank Trap while others with larger tires were not. Check it out, and you will see what I mean.

Well i finally got them mounted up! here are some new details

Mounted up at 11psi they are 39.25-39.5" tall. To the side of the tire about 15.5" kinda hard to measure cuz they bulge out.

I put them on the truck tonight! At 10psi on my truck which is roughly 5500lbs they sit at 37.5" tall. I drove them down the street and around town getting up to 60mph. They rode really smooth with NO weights/airsofts in them. I will try them out soon enough offroad!
What do you guys recommend a good way to break them in? 5psi and some offroading?

Bottom line, the Rocker is a great tire. They do need to break in and then they are even better. We sell them and also they sponsor Rausch Creek and most of the staff vehicles run them. They are not the best mud tire but they will hold their own. On the rocks, well , they rock.

find a parking lot...........where air is close by, air down to umm about 2 psi and drive around very slowly. Or just wheel alot:D

Thats how I broke mine in, aired them down to about 2 psi drove around pretty carefully for about 20 minutes, mostly in a parking lot, Then I aired them up to max psi and let them sit overnight. That pretty much did it for me

Well I put about 120miles on them so far. I really like these tires, they were a lil shakey at 65mph. I then put about 14ounces of airsoft pellets in them and it smoothed them out a lil, not much tho. Still at 10psi. I also got a chance to take them offroad. This was mostly loose rock with dry rockface climbs and small waterhole crossings w/ lil mud rock underneight. So far they seem to really grip the rocks really really well, I tried getting them wet before hitting rocks to see how they acted when things got slick.

It wasn't super slick but I have some more testing to do. Here are a few pictures!

quick update, i have had them running for a lil over 1000miles by now. Absolutely love these tires. I found that w the air soft bb's in them and about 20psi on a warm day they run smooth. I like how sticky they are on the rocks, still havent played in the mud with them yet! The outside squarer edges are starting to round off now, but def. work amazing. To get them at their full performance i find getting them a lil hot first really lets them stick to rocks well. They tend to really like to conform well under my truck at like 10psi on the trail and like i said 20 on the road.

I will update this thread with more acurate measurments asap but for now some pics of em working!

Nice blazer dude. Any updates on the tires? i was thinking of running the 42 version.......once the funds and the wife alow so:doah:BTW do you have info on the saaaweet half doors?

I can provide some what of a review on my 42" Rockers. So far I have had them on for a little over a year now. They have spent a little time on the road just here in town and most of the time in the dirt and rocks. This last EJS I really beat on my rig. I ran Poison Spider, Gold Bar Rim, and Golden Spike in 5 hours. I was slowed down for a failing hydraulic pump and one of my wheels let the tires burp enough air out that it went flat. Hardly the tires problem. I was running 3 lbs in the rears and it was just too low of pressure. I drive a Ramcharger which is really, really close to a Blazer in almost all respects and while I am not driving a buggy there is very little to stop me from trying the same lines. Again, no fault of the tires just the large amount of sheet metal.

Thanks for asking! well i still like my tires a lot! They are softer than Interco's but i hardly drive em anymore (to much gas $$) but when i do offroad i love em. I have found that if i go wheeling and im at like 6-8psi.. they are stupid soft and make the truck feel a lil unstable.. mostly on road tho because of the huge volume they are. As for the doors, what kinda questions? here is a link to my buildthread on them as well.

I keep dreaming about a set of the 42 inch rockers. I see them almost everyday on David's truggy, as my truck sits 25 feet from it.

Just steal said tires and roll them 25 feet to your rig and leave his on blocks, paint the rims a pink color, then call him and say you got new tires and rims but they only had pink ones.

David hasn't been in his shop, let alone even looked at his Truggy in so long, I don't think he'd even notice till next year...:haha::haha::doah::rolleyes:
