Please don't disown me....

I think you did fine. I have often thought that if I just went in sold my blazer, my, jeep and my truck I could have one really awesome 4 door JK. they are great vehicles and with some mods on them they are some of the most comfortable and capable rides around. I love jeeps, hence the reason I still own the first one I bought and still wheel in it. On the flip side there are not many jeep that are as cool and good looking as a 72 blazer.

I fully understand why you did what you did, I have thought about it pretty hard myself.

Thanks bro! You are right though, a 72 Blazer brings the sexy like no new rig can!!! Along the vintage lines- I used to have a 69 Bronco, and it ranks as the only vehicle I've owned that a random hot chick has run up to and posed on the hood of, LOL!

Nice jeep. Really like those 4 doors. How is your wife going to feel when it gets some scratches?

Thanks bro!

VERY nice CJ7! Looks AWESOME!!! I would love to have one (was looking for one a few years ago) but, around here, any I found in good shape are priced like they are made out of solid gold!!! (Though, I was VERY tempted to pick up a 4 speed beater that ran that I found for $1K!!!)

The (soon to be- 9/17/11) wife is used to scratches from my ZJ I used to have (I have a video of a particularly bad bush pinstriping job in progress, sounds like several peoples' nails on a chalkboard, LOL!)!

Here is the JK I just finished, well not quite painter is taking his sweet time on the fenders and bumpers and sliders.

3.5 x factor long arm kit. I like the rockcrawler stuff for these.

What a pain on the exhaust. Really interested in how the mid arm kit does can't wait to see pics.

Dang!!! That is a SWEET JK! Nice build!!! I have heard the RK long arm makes exhaust routing ummm... interesting, LOL! I love that copper color and the color matched rock rings!

I will definitely keep you posted on how things progress with mine! I just found out my approximate wait time on my lift- about 4 weeks (then a week for shipping). I can't wait for it to get here!!!

Also, I may be picking up a surprise jumpstart to my JK build this weekend, I'll post pics if things work out! :waytogo:

Its worse on the 2011s than the 2010, they changed the exhaust on the 2011s. Your mid arm kit shouldn't require anything like that though so no worries.

Another quick bit of advice, it took 2 days and about 50 miles for all the warning lights to go off on the dash. Only light still on is the front locker light cause I damaged the switch. So just wait a couple days before taking it to the Jeep dealership for them to clear all the warning lights

Thanks for the heads up on that! I woulda freaked seeing my dash light up like a Christmas tree!!! :eek1:

WOO-HOO!!! I just ordered my 3.5" Rock Krawler X factor midarm lift, with 2" bumpstop extensions F/R, Fox external reservoir shocks and matching stabilizer! Can't wait for it all to get here!!! (no word on RK lead time yet...)

:woot::woot::woot:

Damnit I meant to re visit this thread and let you know that my buddy is a Rock Krawler dealer and can get them a little cheaper. Sorry I forgot to tell you. He is also trying to become a dealer for Ripp to get the supercharger.

It's all good!!! :D

Ripp huh?

May have to bear that in mind for after the warranty runs out, they make a SICK setup!!! :thumb:

Yep he got them talked down quite a bit but I dont know if he will do it or not yet. I think he got the 2.5" Rock Krawler lift with Bilsteins for my sisters.

I've heard good things about the RK 2.5" kit!!! That'd be sweet if he ends up selling RIPP superchargers, they seem like a good product!

SOOOO, some good stuff for me today...

I will post pics Monday, today was a great Jeep parts day!!!-
Got a great deal on some parts from a guy that returned his Jeep to stock, traded it in and bought a SICK brand new Camaro SS!
Great jumpstart for my build, here's the list:
Picked up:
5x- 35x12.50R17 Goodyear MTR-Kevlars on Mickey Thompson Classic II's
PSC Brawler Lite front bumper with hoop, shackle tabs, and skid
PSC evap canister skid
Warn xd9000i with Warn winch kit bag

He said there were less than 300 miles on the tires, and I believe him!- brought a tire tread depth gauge with me- no noticeable loss in tread depth vs new, heck you can still see the mold lines in the tread from when the tires were made!!!

Had to drive close to 7 hours round trip and then work this evening BUT, it was well worth it!!! :thumb:

Thanks bro! Here are some pics!:
Stacks of parts in the garage:

35's vs stock:

Had to roll them out for a sneak peek!!! (lift won't be here for another month):

Hopefully gonna get the front bumper powdercoated later this week! (still debating on texture, satin, semigloss, or gloss powdercoat (kinda leaning toward gloss even though touch up will be hard, it would sure look good on the black Jeep!))

Those fender flares will have to go. My buddy with the Rudy tore his up real quick.

no joke, yesturday I saw a Jeep just like that. No lift but big tires with glossy black rims. There was no wheeling that thing. And no, it wasn't a Rubi. I hate CA.

I'd love to get a set of steel tube fenders from Poison Spyder Customs BUT, that unfortunately is not in the budget... here's hoping the stock will survive!!!

LOL! But, don't ya know, low COG is important for mallcrawlers too, don't wanna tip over on those high curbs!!! :haha:

Just cut the stock ones. There is a way to make them flat and still look good.

Nice Jeep.

My fiance (also 9/17/11 actually) has a JK Sahara and I have to admit it is a nice vehicle. We are going to lift it but I haven't done enough research on the amount of tire it can handle, gearing wise.

I wish I had that stack of parts for it in my garage!

9/17 is a good day to get married. Gonna be 11 years for me and the wife this year.

I like those MTRs. But that size was backordered everywhere recently. Availability estimates were sometime in June. Ended up getting a set of BFG KM2s instead.

Leave it unlocked in the front and 37s will let most of it survive.

Now this is just me but and I have only seen a couple done like this but some of the fancier fenders like metal cloaks stuff will fit 35s easy with no lift. Spend your cash on them, throw some 35s on it and have fun!

I dug up some old pics for your entertainment.

I've seen 'em! I know I am not steady handed enough for that though! :doah:

Thanks bro! I am still trying to decide between wheels to run, I have the polished MTII's AND I have a full set of Black Rock 909's (satin black) I can't decide which to run!!!

From what I have been reading, for a Sahara, you're probably looking at regearing the axles even for 35's (Sahara's come with 3.73's). I am going to leave my Rubi's 4.10's but go lower whenever I go to 37's (year's from now, LOTS of $$$ needed to be effective with 37's (sleeves, C gussets, regear, heavy duty front shafts, etc). Is your fiancee's JK a stick or auto? 2 or 4 door? If it's a two door stick, 35's on 3.73's won't be terrible but 35's+3.73's+auto+4 door= snail!!! I ran into another JK owner that is running that exact setup and he says he is gonna regear ASAP!!!

Glad to hear it bro!!! I am kinda freaking out since the wedding is coming up so soon now!!!!!!!!!

I was on the fence as to whether I would run MTR-K's or KM2's, finding these for sale made up my mind for me! :D How have you liked the KM2's?

Most of it! LOL! From what I have been reading it seems that on any JK front end sleeves and gussets would be in order for 37's- elsewise the front axle starts to smile!

I do like the aftermarket fenders, I have seen the metalcloaks and they seem to offer the most room but, I really dig the looks of the Poison Spyder Customs fenders, with some trimming to pinch welds, 35's are possible at stock height but, with mine being a 4 door, I want some lift to help get the long belly not to scrape!

Well... um... they look good sitting in the garage mounted up on the H2s. :doah:

I'm due to start swapping all the parts I've been collecting real soon.

Sweet multi-quote!
My buddy LOVES his KM2's. I plan to get a set when I get a few bucks in the bucket.
