what is the purpose of twin sticking a 205. I think i know what is right but i want uncohersed answers first.

thanks

and a case of beer is riding on this.

It give you crazy options.
2H
4H
N
4L
2H rear only
2H front only
2L rear only
2L front only

To make it simple, each stick works a rear. 1 stick works front, the other works the rear. Drive around normaly with front in neutral and rear in HI. For 2wheel LOW just leave front in neutral and put rear stick in LOW, viola.

It's more a manueverability thing. Front wheel low range, E-brake, turn wheels and it'll pivot on the rear tires and turn tighter.

It's so that people can accidentally put one axle in 4H, and the other in 4L and blow the gearsets out of their axles.

Twin-sticking was developed by Genuine Gear as a way to increase their revenues.......

Or to let somebody try to modify the shift rail and grind to much letting it go into front wheel high and rear wheel low and spending another 4 hours welding and grinding to fix it.(luckily it was my brothers, I did it to mine first no problem, so I thought I could wiz through his)

The purpose is to pretend you have a Dana 300.

Once a low gearset is out for the 205 this will be even more true. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
