These two runs are something I may want to do this year and thought I'd ask around for some opinions on whether the k5 is up to it.

14bff (open), D44 (open), no winch, on 35's and lots of non-damaged sheetmetal.

And I ran it with 35's and 3.73 and a farking 100,000 plus mile 305 in a 5500 p;us pound truck the 1st time I tried it .

I've led several stock vehicles through Poison Spider with no body damage, it can be done if you're careful (plus your rig is way more capable than theirs were so you should be able to keep away from the ouchies a bit better ;))

There are no guarantees though. IMO, if you want to run Poison Spider with no body damage you should have no problem.

I've been on fins twice now (and never finished it) and was thinking something new might be in order.

The only real potential issue I've been debating is whether the lack of rear locker will be more problem. I guess as long as I have three wheels on the ground it'll be fine. If I find a wad of cash and an extra week, I can have one put in before I get there.

Lockers almost always help but you'll be fine without it.

:haha:A 10gal. fuel cell wont get it... I had to add one of my 5 gal. jerry cans about 30min before the last climb out to the hywy. Nice trail, pick good lines and you'll be fine. (Not like some of us, who pick the hardest line over the easiest obstacals) we're just tarded like that...:o:woot:

I've lead the finest K5's over many of the trails without a scratch but it's really the driver and watching your spotter. Posin is a fun trail unless you get stupid on something. I've done it with open 10B's. You'll be fine.
Sheet metal gang and proud. Just remember, anything can happen on any trail.
