Poll for my transmission

What would you do about your transmission? I want a decent combo of highway and trail ability.

my stall converter needs to be replaced because the current set up is using washers to make it fit and the converter seems too big as it feels like a drag set up.

If I'm going to have to pull the transmission to fix this, I figure I should think about just getting the transmission too.

Current set up:
5.3
TH350
NP205
14bolt 4:11
10 bolt 4:11
305/75R16

what no correct spacer for flex plate on crank shaft ?

and overdrive is the ticket anymore .

if you have a ls computer this would be the thing . 4l60-e . . . just make sure you can bolt your t-case up and also rear electric speedo option .

offroad design now offers electric speedo option for 205 t-case .

newer 4l60/4l65 use a 6 bolt tail housing so watch what 4l60 combo you get to bolt the 205 up .

or swap in a 241 from a 90-91 square body blazer/burban for good low range and electric speedo .

4.11 gear and 33" tires not a bad combo with non overdrive tho . so if your happy keep it then .

You've already got a pcm, let it control the tranny too.

It's a blazer, too short for an 80 imo. 4l60e ftw
Will the 80 bolt up to the 205? Also, why is the blazer too short? In a sense that the heavy duty tranny isn't a good match for the geometry (or both).

I'm sure it'll bolt up, but the 80 is a really long transmission. It'll make your rear driveshaft angle really steep.
