OK so now I have enough to know what I can offer, I will have a prototype in a couple of days.
I need to know if I have buyers for it.
I will provide the output shaft and the tail housing for $100 plus core, plus shipping.
You would need to provide the 32 spline yoke of your choice, or I could provide some used ones for another $50, maybe less if I can get them cheaper.
The kit will be 3"-4" shorter than the slip yoke style, depending on the yoke choice.
Let's see if there is any takers here to make it work.
I would charge a $100 for cores but I'd rather not and get your parts since anyway you don't need them, so why waste my time.
I plan on having a few on hand so the first few will be able to buy and send in the core and i can keep it rolling.

Can the shafts and such be swapped out with the t-case still in the truck or is it a major disassembly?

You can do it in place.
It's been a few months since I took mine appart for this but I remember having to remove the rear section and removing the chain drive.
I will check again to see if there was a way to do that with just the cone removed, I'll get back to you by tomorrow on this.
But for sure you do not need to remove the front shaft or the tcase from the truck.

Dont know if this is even possible but will the modified tail housing use a bearing and seal to support the outputshaft or does it still use the bushing like what is there factory?

Bearing and seal.
The bushing will not be necessary anymore because the seal would be about an inch from the bearing and there will be no real force on the shaft at an angle.

May be interested after I see some pics and some in action:thumb:
I am not selling before anyone see's it, I just want to see if the product description and price sound reasonable enough, then I will push thru.

Sounds good. I dont know a whole lot about 208 internals which is odd cause everything I have has one. Im interested and the price sounds very reasonable. Especially if you can get yokes for $50, $150 for a quality sye on a np208. Id have to fight the wife for grocery money but count me in.

I'm very interested to see how your setup is designed, I already SYE'd the 208 in my dads rig by using the Dodge parts, but am definitely interested in what you are proposing.

interested in pics, sounds reasonable enough pricewise. dont tell the misses but i want one.

Very interested....but also just got a new slip yoke d-shaft :( anybody need a new shaft?? :)

Me too! I just got 2 new rear ones built(one spare). But I'm interested also!

Iceman, want to trade for some super duper awesome stock 63s!!! Just kidding.

Yeah I need a bump in my butt to get moving on this, I am still kind of lacking the motivation after my daughter, and my wife still having some issues. But I am not letting this go, that is why I put up this post so people could poke me.:D
