Possible 208 SYE plans

Yeah I need a bump in my butt to get moving on this, I am still kind of lacking the motivation after my daughter, and my wife still having some issues. But I am not letting this go, that is why I put up this post so people could poke me.:D

First time ive seen this post! I am totally in when ready! I even have some extra 208's if your needing more parts cases!:waytogo:

Well those who will come can see what I am doing, it's no Voodoo or even a secret thing that is why I am pricing it cheap so people could do it but would choose to buy it instead.
It's all going to be junkyard parts with a little bit of machine work.

Most everything on my truck is used anyway. It won't know the difference ;-)
What I meant was that I am not creating any new parts, all my ideas are how to use common junkyard parts and make them better for our abuse.
I am still trying to find the best way for people with a d44 or 10b to do cross over without the elusive flat top.
I have a design and I am just trying to see if it would be worth doing, or I may just put up a HOW TO.

I also have a couple of other projects in my head.

I'd be interested also. I have a Tom Woods SYE on my current 208. Wouldn't mind outfitting my extra 208 with yours, makes swapping them that much easier when I bring spare parts in the trailer.

I don't know how long the Tom woods shaft is but I am doing pretty much the same thing.

I can measure the distance from the case to the flange if you need it. Either way, I'm sure it's close enough that my DS will take up the slack.

My rig is built almost entirely from junkyard parts, or leftovers from rigs I scrapped out. Very few custom high dollar parts. Am I gonna win koh? not a chance but it sure is a fun cheap wheeling rig.

Id be interested in your crossover design. I am a fan of using the flat tops, I have plenty of them at my disposal but Id be interested in what you've come up with.

As you know from my post a few months ago, I am definately interested. I have just been wating to see what you came up with. I will start setting aside some cash now, unfortunately or fortunately, I just picked up my D60 / 14BFF so I still have to recover from that expense.

Where will you be shipping these from? If I remember right you are in CO quite often.

Pics?

Martin
Well I know I am a slacker, I had started yesterday on it and got slammed by a nasty flu, but looks like it's mostly gone, so hopefully I will have something ready and get pics by this week end.
And as for shipping, I will be shipping from ZIP 95648.
I need to measure the final length of the tail, might be able to fit in a medium flat rate, which would be nice to keep the cost low, but for the core, it will not fit so you'll have to figure out shipping to my ZIP.
