HA! I remembered my password!
Long time no see CK5.
So anyways, I thought I'd consult the best diagnostic group I know on this one.
I have a 1997 K1500 Yukon, 350 tbi, automatic. It starts, idles and revs fine out of gear. However, when driving it has no guts. In order to accelerate I have to just barely touch the gas, any real gas pedal use and it just sits there slowly losing speed, sometimes making a clanking noise or having a slight pulsing feeling.
I'm thinking the transmission since it has no problems out of gear with revving or starting. However slushboxes are one of the few parts on a vehicle I know very little about. My gut is telling me torque converter, but I've read it may also be the pump or even the clutch pack.
I believe the trans is a 4L60E, but I'm not positive.
What is your opinion ck5?
