if you had a fellow online guy who had a small buissness for selling parts for your trucks like ubolts bent to spec and size of rod to spec and could mail them to you would you buy from them. all of this at a fair price . possible less than local spring shops sell for.

poll for best input possible. and its multiple choice for those nikked option guys to say both options.

please go to post #11 and answer questions thank.

amazing, 2 responses and the same exact 2 options picked, i say GO FOR IT! i need a set of ubolts for a d60 front with 4" lift springs and a zero rate..

competition is good.... and if he's recommended by a reliable fellow CK-5er all the better.

I just got my u-bolts from a vender here in Denver.
They were all custom bent for my D60 and 14bff...about $12 each
The company is called Denver Spring....They do an aswome job

If he hurries, I'm going to be ordering a set within the next month for my D60 and 70HD. I was going to order from stengel bros but that was a lot of leg work to find what would work. it'd be nice to have someone dedicated to the 4x4 community that i can email and say "gimme what i need for a 88 k5 to mount up a D60F and a D70HD"

ive never had a problem finding the correct ones locally (5/8" not 9/16" that some sell). i usually know the measurments i need but i have been wrong and they tell me and give me the correct ones.

but it would be nice to have a place online.

It may be worth while if the products are presented as a choice among combinations of build-ups, with the correct sizes all figured out. If a buyer needs to figure all the sizes, then He'll just go and get them done locally. The customer you want is lazy/not sure.:D
On U-bolts, I'd want fast delivery too.

I think that we have the lazy/not sure part in droves. I know that I count. :D I also bought a set of u-bolts from a vendor here already and would do so again.

Since I have joined the CK5 community I try to buy parts from members and vendors here before I go looking other places. So far my dealings with people on this board have been positive so I will continue to seek out CK5-ers to help me get my junk put back together.

i need to know the price you paid for your last set of ubolts and if shipped how much shipping was. ?

i need to know the size bend and square or round also the size of the rod used for the ubolts?

what do you think is a fair time for order placed to shipped out time frame?

if shipped what kind of transit time would you be looking for?

last set of ubolts that i got ran $92, that was for a full set for a 14 bolt and a D44 with nuts and washers, i belive they were 3/4 inch dia, ill find the sheet later for the exact specs

could he also make the studs for the d60? thats what i really need

he might be able to find studs to work. but he has never had problem with bolts . but if it pans out we can see what we can do.

i paid $8-9 a peice (its been a while) for 3 3/8" x10" 5/8" rod. and just over $8 a peice for 3" x8" 5/8" rod.
one odd ball was the long one for the 10bolt front, i think it was $11 for 5/8" rod.
all were from my local spring shop
