post 27 mud bunny v.5 1/12/11 new parts!

Here is what i did.

I used a big ass extension (several together would work) and a 1 1/2 socket or somewhere in that size range. I gauged it off the new seals then just knocked them out.

You could also probably pop them out with a seal puller if you have one..I didn't.

that worked like a charm but i used a handle from my floor jack. my seals looked alot different than yours.

i also got the 14 bolt ready for some disc brakes.

these also came in today. ive got to re-do the weld in kit. mine looks like somebody did it blindfolded.

wow left this off a LONG time ago.

so to recap the changes:


ive now got a built th400/205 HAD flange, superduty rear shaft.
14 bolt with 4.56 and a detroit. discs with kerts brackets.
56 inch rear springs with an add a leaf and 7 inch long shackles. ORD flip and an ez inch.

the front is a DIY4X abomb with 2 inch lift skyjacker 52's. have yet to tackle the front upper shackle hanger.
ford shock towers with 15 inch white shocks.

dana 60 front SRW finally!! spicer hubs, 30 spline, 4.56 and a lockright. 1350 yoke with tom woods superflex joint, a square tube shaft and 1410 at the tcase.

got a big fat tierod and hydro assist and crossover.

then two days after the new trans and tcase i totalled out the blazer. some poor kid pulled out in front of me and i couldnt stop quick enough. monster trucked his car.

put in a cheeseball ten bolt to get me going. swapped some new springs and straightened my frame. 20 bucks invested after the accident for the new 10 bolt. everything else i had laying around.

redid the entire rear suspension and threw in the 14 bolt

big boy parts

well i got it ready to wheel and wrenched daily for two weeks practically. then took it out for a little mud fun, blowed up the 350. :rolleyes:
greeeeeeeeeat. had a good time though! these are really the only pics of me puttin around muddfest, but i was foot through the floor most of the time.
ended up spinning all the bearings on the passenger side of the motor.

in the mean time i also scored a craigslist m12000! 200 bucks delivered! fits great in the Abomb!

You'll need a T400 32 spline short output for the doubler, a T400/203 adapter, and probably have to modify a crossmember to allow for front driveshaft clearance, check out the mother of all doubler crossmembers thread.
