in the 6th picture is my hillbilly mood light for the ladies.
7th was the first time i welded and i reinforced my lowering shackles
8th, yes those are zipties holding in my steering stabilizer.
9th, soon to be the front recovery point of my truck
10th, rear supporting x member of the cab.

now thats a rig :D

When i first got my k5 the owner of it put a simi truck air horn on it. ok dosnt sound too bad but he put it threw the roof and it looks like he cut the hole with a screw driver and a hamer. Then he had the dimond plate steps because its really hard to get in will 21/2 lift and 33's lol the steps allmost touched the ground. Then he had some dimond plate on the rockers with those ornge runing lights on them. To top it all of a peice of the grill broke out soo he took one of those licence plate covers and zip tied it in place of the broken peice. I wish i would have taken a pic of it before i took all the stuff off now :doah:

dont have a picture, but my last truck had a 1/2 hole drilled into the door and thru the door jam then a 8" nail holding the door in place. Made a cool anti theft device. and i used to have a chain pull switch for the dome light to come on or off. not to mention the duct tape roll cup holders on the top of the dash and on the tranny tunnel.

i have to say the most redneck thing i have seen my dad do is this. he has a 87 burb with the slip yoke 208. when he lifted it and put in a 14FF, he need a longer driveline. so he took one with a slip in it (for a fixed yoke) and ran that with a piece of radiator hose to keep the slip in the driveline from compressing...

on thing i forgot to mention is we dented to hell out of that driveline so bad we couldnt drive it on the street the 600+ miles needed to get home. we ended up using his "spare" driveline, but it didnt have the correct conversion joint. we ended up "improvising" and cut strips out of a pop can to "sleeve" the u-joint cap to fit the 1350 yoke on the 14 bolt. it actually held up the whole way home.

i cut out some rust spots and fixed it with a coffee can, screws and bondo. herculined it, cant tell the difference ;)

i had the wrong conversion u-joint when i first did my 14b conversion, i had the 1310 to 1350 joint but needed a s44 to 1350 so i took the caps off a s44 joint and swicthed them with the 1310 caps
dorve it to badlands wheeled for 2 days and drove back and a few weeks more before i finally got the correct conversion joint

Probably this lexan window. Bolted in and sealed with clear silicone.

That and the mismatched yellow spray bomb for the damaged areas.

this is my custom "hold the power steering lines out of the oba pully bracket"
what makes it cooler is the color
this was a temp fix but it has been holding for a year now:)

im gonna go off on this thread!@

... i didnt do it but it is how i bought it......

ITS CAMO!#@$^% the day i got it i took all of that off... turned out the rack was bolted to the fiberglass top :eek1: .. had 2 sets of gun racks. exhaust was routed all the way to the back then a 90 that sends it all the way to the other side. grill was ziptied on. instead of hoodpins they welded bolts to the radiator support and put big nuts on the top. the rear seat was turned around probably so they could hunt from the truck..the center console was just a pot skrewed to the floor. the wiper on the drivers side was broken off so i took the one off the passenger side and put it on the drivers side. there are holes in the floor and when i go through deep mud or water water splashes through and gets me or my passengers wet. the grill guard was welded to the front bumper...I cant think of anything else at the moment.. do i win?

The tailpipes on my K5 when I bought it, broke off at 70mph on the way to my first 'wheeling trip. My wife was with me for her first offroad experience as well. Needless to say, she was not amused, and her confidence in my ability to get her home safely kinda eroded to nothing at that point.
About a week later, I got a piece of exhaust pipe, broke the rest of the muffler off, and hung a straight pipe off the cat to a turn-down near the rear axle. I supported this exhaust system with a couple pieces of "plumber's tape"... you know, that flexible galvanized metal strip with holes every couple inches. This lasted the next 2 years, and is still holding the rusted remains of the exhaust while the truck awaits a make-over and a 6.2 transplant.

Then there's the time I broke the battery hold-down. Well, actually it kinda broke on it's own, since there weren't enough chunks of rusty metal left to identify it had I not seen it break. I s**t you not; it literally broke and fell off on it's own while I was topping off the brake fluid. So I fixed this with a 2" cargo strap looped around the battery and under the tray. Couldn't tighten the strap too much, because the tray woulda broke too...

Then there's the time I broke one of the core support bodymounts while 'wheeling. I used another 2" cargo strap passed through the core support and looped around the framerail to keep things together for the rest of the trip and the ride home.

Oh, whoever mentioned floormats to cover holes in the floor... You mean that's a bad thing?!?

I'm not sure if you win or not, but what is the winch thing for next to the ladder? Or is that a fishing reel?:D Deer hoist? Got any more pics? I want to send my buddy from Fort worth pics of that sob to show him what a real redneck hunting vehicle looks like. My friend helped me quarter a steer in my backyard with a cherry picker strapped to my dually's lumber rack. Now he's got an 03 F150 "hunting rig". Gotta show him up!
