Post a Pic of the most hillbilly thing on your truck

I dunno what the previous owner was thinking but what am i saying, There is purple shag carpet on my headliner and I never removed it yet. After 8 years.

LOL! Mine's got the old GA State flag-the Confederate Battle Flag for the headliner. Still haven't taken mine out, either.:haha:

Other notables include older style dashboard coupled with newer style bezel so they look like a blind monkey assembled it all, particle board speaker boxes without any endcaps zip-tied to the back seat's latch, and the ever-constant leaking oil cooler lines that leaked so bad that when I rode with the gate window down, the interior vacuum pulled the oil inside where it would land on the dash making a nice speckled effect in between the dirt and dust. The PO let leak it like that for so long that the oil drippings ate away the upper shock absorber bushing. That issue got fixed immediately.....

It was pretty bad in the begining

This is the first flatbed stage of my truck, its pretty sad:( i traded a Caribou hide for the oak planks for the bed. All the steel was from old tractor shipping crates. Wasnt too good at welding at the time sooo the back got sealed up with plywood. Its come a long way in 5 years!:wink1:

When I painted my truck, instead of welding the fenders shut after cutting them out, I primed them and filled them in with Great Stuff spray foam insulation and let it expand overnight and cut it flush with a razor blade. Then fiberglass bondo over the foam and hurculiner over the bondo. I didn't have a welder at the time and the gaps were too big to weld anyway. It worked pretty good. It was just really messy.
Edit: it took me a while to post in this thread because it was so hard to narrow it down to just one thing.

Actually they're kind of wavy lookin from a combination of the foam insulation and the fiberglass bondo. I didn't sand the bondo down. I just knocked down the jagged sharp edges. And then hurculined over it. I proably could have put more fiberglass bondo on it to smooth it out but that stuffs kind of hard to work with, that and I ran out of hardener. I used a recip saw to cut them. They are sealed up and that's what I was going for since they will probably get cut out again later anyways. I think the bondo and hurculiner make it look worse than it really is. This pic is before my paintjob as you can see it was fairly clean looking.

no offense dude, but what did you cut those fenders with? a dulled butter knife?
Well I've heard stories of him freehanding stuff with a benchgrinder, so....

One of the many previous owners my my rig replaced the inner door handles of the Blazer with 2 x 4 's cut to fit the exact shape of the original door handles. In fact, as hillbilly as this is, they did a darn fine job, they are shaped and contoured as if he was really skilled with a belt sander.

Hers's one: if you start to peel the paint you can see the many previous colors it once was, in order: White, Gold, blue, black, red, primer red, primer grey, silverish grey. I'm gonna do the truck bed liner finish soon to it, and don't know what color to do, prob grey.

Really No Exhaust to speak of
Functional P.A. System.
Duct Tape on the seats
Vise Grips for Drivers side window crank
No rear window
Lots of rust / Holes
Its gettin an Amber County Light on Monday
On a cold day the automatic portion of the trans wont work gotta ship it like a manual

One time I got pulled over and the cop told me that I have twenty minutes to get this peice of S*** off the road or he was going to write me a ticket. Then he made a reference to the song "There aint nothing wrong with the radio" but little did he know that the radio is messed up too. Also he wasnt too pleased when I couldnt roll my window down becasue I lost my visegrips.

Hey, I made a set of those for an old gmc pickup I had in HS..

Ok so when I was buying my new K5 and it went for inspection there were a few things that failed, exhaust, horn, and a hole in the floor.

The hole in the floor was covered by a license plate that was hinged so they could drop a beer can through while driving down the road.
The dealer that had my Blazer replaced the exhaust by cutting it off in front of the Y and 90* out to the sides, and running the exhaust under the doors. It is currently this way and totally eliminates my ability to put steps on the sides.
The horn has a toggle switch on the bottom of the dash that just turns it on, it still works from the horn button, but not sure why that switch was ever put in.
The top is held on by four bolts, two in the header and one on each side.

I am sure there is more, I just bought it, and may not have found it all yet.

where to begin. most all of it was done by the previous owner.
a piece of carpet strapped to the bottom of the a/c condenser thing with a bungee (guess it was leaking)
4"x4" wood blocks for body lift (now have been replaced with actual 3" lift blocks)
gas tank had a hole so they decided to run the hoses between the cab and bed and put in a marine gas tank (holds bout 10 gals but serves the purpose.)
not a part that doesn't have a zip-tie or wire on it
oh yeah the radiator is wired in. no bolts necessary i guess
rear bumper is custom with only two bolts (guess so someone can fold it out of the way) lmao
plumbers tape holding up the radio underneath the dash
junk hood. you have to have 2 people to get it close to shut. then climb the tire and jump on the hood to get it the rest of the way shut.
had problems with the ignition and installed a push button start. (since then the ignition started working) idk why

so that bout sums it up i guess. know there's more, but god the things that have been done

pretty bad when the license plate is actually the only thing you can be proud of. lmao. i can't say much. i have crap too

After seeing some of this, I am glad that I paid 2500 for a pretty straight truck with very little rust. The worst of it seems to be the butchered wiring, and the trashed interior. If all goes well pics will be here next week.
