I'm wanting to build a front bumper but I don't want to pay pay $700 or so for one. I do have a welder, grinders and access to a bender (I think)
Was thinking on grabbing a DIY4X bumper center for the winch and building something off that.
Just looking for more ideas.

I have a winch mounted to a removable plate that slides into receiver. works well.

Didn't build the whole bumper, just the pre runner light bar. I did how ever throw in the hidden winch. The work some of the guys do on here is amazing!

Then I felt it needed more beef so made a piece of channel out of some angle.... Its not pretty but its beefy:D (also its pipe not DOM but same idea)

remote filter housings are Al....

I've had very good luck either cleared or with Zoop's depending on the part...... subject to oil, I'll probably Zoop's them, easy enough to wipe down..


oh, duh, maybe you where talking skid on that last one... yeah, that's polished alum... 1/4 in front of 1/4 steel... actually, it stays decent looking longer and easier than most things on the rig... dry it off after a wash, it'll look great... and obviously a quick wax is easy enough...
