Post when you leave -expected arrival in Moab

Made it to Moab at 5:00 local time. Trying to kill a 1.75l of JD:eek1::haha:

Greg, I'll give you a ring tomorrow.
 
Weather is awesome....probably 72 degrees still...... we just say outside at the Moab Brewery and had a nice dinner and some tasty beers.

Plan on bringing something warm for the nights in case the temps drop....kind of like Hollister in the summer. If you're not in front of the fire, you'll wish you had a jacket on.
 
Ill be leaving this time next year...:(

This year didnt work out, money and blazer isnt running...But next year ill have a tow rig, trailer, and an even better built blazer....

anybody needing anything when you get here i can be reached at home at 435-259-4587 after 5: pm should be around most the week.
 
oh yeah if any one wants 6.2 beer speak up and i can bring down for ya as im coming from co and im thinking it be cheaper here im not a beer fan

I cruised SlickRock a few minutes ago and didn't see them, but I was looking for Surpip's K5 (which I'd recognize).....then 2Dogs told me that they are only bringing motorcycles, so who knows??

I saw Dozer/Tweakers rig (hard to miss!) but he might have still been sleeping.

The NAXJA folks are already starting to roll into camp there...

Also, the boys from NorCal are heading out in their caravan right about now....they've still got a 2-day drive but I guess it's time to officially add them to the "watch list"... :usaflag:

The Norcal guys just left Rocklin their first stop at 9 am.
I didn't join them but will be leaving tomorrow and make it by friday noon :o
 
In 5 minutes I lock these damn parts store doors , and head to hook up with the caravan to Flaggstaff for leg 1 . Will post up later . Expect to be cracking open a beer with Bubba Ray by noon tommorrow :thumb:

I'd drink a beer with Dave , but he wants to drink harder stuff :wink1:
 
8:57 pm--made it to El Paso,,,,,will be on the road in the moning at 6am---700 miles down,,,only another 650 miles to go !!!!!:eek1:

Tow rig is sucking down dead dino's at the rate of :

12.6 MPG at 65 mph

10.1 MPG at 70 mph

09.5 MPG at 75 mph:doah:

JMS is here....(Michael and Claudia) saw them at the hotel this evening.

Frizzlefry is here too.


I'll try to post up some more pics in my gallery from today's adventures with 2Dogs on a trail called "Fins & Things"....it was a fun one, with some good steeps and lots of amazing scenery.

Mudderfocker :mad:..............j/k . I only brought 50 5.9 percenters so far ( cleaned out the beer fridge ) , must buy more before we cross over the border :laugh:

Sitting in Flagstaff , pretty quick line here on the wifi . Brought your icemaker from the store ....................forgot the propane I store at my store , and forgot my damn spicy italians . Gotta go shopping for the grilling stuff now :rolleyes:

So far the 305 has pulled the hills with half a pickup behind it , albeit a little slower than usual :bow:

I leave tomorrow before noon and I will post before I take off.
 
My buddy Mike and me will be heading out later this morning. It's about 5-1/2 hours to get there. I'll post when we hit the road. See you soon guys.

Well i'm sure i could have hitched a ride from anyone of the "local guys" but for me to get time from work is like pulling teeth and since Greg was so generous i'll be flying there and arrive in 4 hours rather than whatever drive time is involved. Had this been planned i would have had my blazer there but maybe next year or some other time.
 
Leaving in a 1/2 hour from Cedar City Utah. Should be in Moab around 1500 at Slick rock campground space #53.
