Good pics, but you forgot the "Specs" part... Pictures are great, but it's nice to know all the mods you are looking at.

1983 K5 with the 6.2. Im just trying to get her back to good condition right now. About to pull the tranny and have it rebuilt. Everything like the alternator and water pump, radiator, IP all that crap has been rebuilt or replaced. After i get all the oil leaks and the drivetrain gone through I want to start on the body and interior. My plan is for restoration not to take it on the trail.

oopps,

The 90 burb is bone stock 2-wheel with 60,000 miles its "build thread is in my SIG line

The CUCV 1028 is Bone stock but is slowly being parted out for other projects

The white truck is a 98 K3500 6.5 Turbo/NV4500/ 4.10's with a detroit in the rear . Straight piped exhaust but otherwise bone stock

The Blue 93 is a bone stock K3500 with 480,000 miles when it popped I sold the turbo setup to member and but a miltary surplus N/A 6.5 . It has a NV4500 4.10's and I've welded the rear en it now has a utility bed on it with my Miller trailblazer,My compressor , and some other goodies for working on equipment .......I'd love to ditch the IFS though I've broke 3 halfshafts since I've had it and it loves to eat up Idlers

I also Have a 91 V3500 thats been re-powered with a 6.5 but I just got it so no pics just yet

Terky, if you need any 6.2L parts let me know, I have a lot of extra stuff and I'm over in Gold Bar.

My pics are in my sig. My truck has a 2" lift, 37" tires and I swapped a rebuilt TH400 in place of the 700R4.

'87 K5, 6.2 Turbo, SM465, not running yet (need to plumb oil lines and a few other small things):

And, it's not a K5 or burb, but here's my '95 G30 6.5 (N/A):

see the sig for specs. after alot of reading, the 4in lift will most likely be 52in springs up front, and a shackle flip in the rear.

85 Crew short bed, 2" lift, 6.2l, nv4500, 4:10gears, 255-85-16, cold ram air, dual exhaust, pump turned up 1/6th turn, 18.3 mpg at 60 mph, looking for a banks turbo until i can install a cummins,

Here is my 90 Sub. 6.2NA, 700r4, 241, 1 tons. All stock engine for now. I will be looking for a turbo in the future.

That thing start as a 1500 or a 2500?

Guess I should add mine to this thread.

The Blazer:

'89 K5 Blazer. 6.2L C-code, 700R4, 241, 3.73 gears in the 10 bolts, Grenade Lock in the rear, 31's...pretty damn stock and liking it. Might be 32's in the future and for sure a J-code intake.

Oh, the running boards are gone and the winch bumper is leaving as well.

Big Ugly:

Damn, big picture.

'86 M1008 CUCV K30. 6.2L J-code diesel, TH400, 208, 4.56 geared 1 tons, Detroit in the 14FF, 38x11ishR16 Michelin XL tires on stock 2007 GMC steelies, 1" front lift and lots of cutting, a stereo and speakers and cupholders. Lots more plans including a stick swap and relocating the front axle forward.

It was a 1500.

when I got it it had the 14 bolt in it and the lift and tires already on(what a deal for $2150 delivered to my house!! I got a $600 dollar truck and $1400 worth of tires and paid less for shipping than I would have for the tires alone!). I threw in the 60 I had from the old red and white crewcab, regeard, went to 35 splines up front(then proceded to break all my front shafts on the first and second outing) then went to 4340 outer 1540 inners, sye'd it added a zero rate in ther rear(till too saggy for me. I need new springs), Crown SS lines front and rear (I won the fronts here(thanks ruff stuff specialties) bought the rear) put on the crossover I had bought from ORU back in 2000 for the crewcab(yes I recycle) and who knows what else I have done.

56's for the front are in the future, new rear springs(already 56's!) from a 2500(for a little more arch) maybe a detroit in the rear and a rear bumper with a spare carrier. And what ever else the wife decides t\o build for it. And some more trimming.

Started as this.
85ArmySilverado016.jpg

1 new cab with power doors, and as it sits now in storage until next weekend when its getting delivered to my house.

Specs 1985 m1008 cucv with the stock 1 ton axles with 4.56 gears and a rear detroit. 6.2/4l80e with the compushift controller, complete ground up rewire of the entire truck. Windstar fans, 37s mounted on H2s. Had originally planned for a 6" lift with the 37s, but looks like I will just be keeping it a simple pavement pounder with occasional camping trail duty so it will be getting a 2-3" lift with some nice 33s pb mounted on 2500hd rims. Havent decided yet. Also swapping in a dash, a/c hardware, and turbo from a 95 silverado Im parting at the moment.
truckpictures001-1.jpg

Oh yeah best part, is that even with the $1500 compushift controller, I am still in it for $3000? give or take a few bucks.

Remington

New arrival, 91 halfton 700R4,NP241 3.73 geared with gov bomb,Factory Dual Shock ,4" lift ,92,000 miles ,Silverado interior ( with over head console) came with a set of 33" all terrains and the studded snow tires that are on it.

Paid 300.00 for it from a local car lot they said the engine was knocking and the tranny was "slipping" and the last time they tried to start it the starter just spun and would not turn it over............ so you guessed it bad flexplate!!!! runs like a top !! and the best part is I sold the 33" all terrains on Craigslist for $400.00 so I'm in for a total of -$40.00 after buying the Flexplate
