Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

that was haing the gas tank shipped from wyoming (Thanks again Jeff-SoloWookie)
and getting the fuel lines from the junkyard. and having my buddy wreck his 91 IROC so I could get the TBI off it,LOL!!!

I didn't include the $291 it cost for the painless wireing kit to get it all to work right,LOL

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

well my best mods are for my luv but would work for a k-5.
High-lift jack, tow strap(i use this ALOT /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif), fog lamps.
My self fabricated bumpers which work vary well for pushing being pushed tow points and jack points.

I'll second the Bosch H4 kit. You have to see the difference to believe it

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

well for 100 bucks or less... well i got a cheapy u-joint from auto zone for $13, neighbor gave me an old 33" spare tire for $5, just got a steering gear box from "tx85gmcguy" for $10 + $18 shipping..so a gear box for $28 bucks! wooo.. (just put it on right now, what a pain in the ass) hmmm.. oh power steering fluid costs a $.99 and wd-40 was a couple bucks.. cant forget a nice tow strap and a 48" high lift.. thats about it.. those add up to over 100 but at one time they were less than a 100 a piece /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

And the Auto Optiks light kitt with the H7 bulbs. OK More than 100 but I've only done the Low beams so thats 80 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now to dig the High Beams out of the garage /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

OK, I'll post the cheapest - replace your top bolts with 5/16"
eyebolts. Tie downs for all the junk you haul around and it will still keep the lid on.....

Thread a nut up to the 'eye', put a washer on, thread it all the way down and tighten it with the nut.

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

New lug nuts.

Old, tight lug nuts are a breeze when you're at home and have air tools. Then try changing a flat in the rain when you're going to a dinner party. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Wow. The new ones spun all the way on by hand /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. I think I paid $60 for a set of 32 closed-ended chrome nuts.

Those with body lifts and NP205 t-cases can make use of a Tracker/Sidekick t-case boot to account for the extra shifter throw. Its longer and narrower than the stock GM one, so it will cover up where you notch the floor. You will also need a small filler strip since the boot is quite narrow. I didn't have to pay for my boot, but its seems like a under-$100 item. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

YUCK! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sauza Hornitos ~$20 (Way better than Cuervo)....Don't punish yourself even MORE by drinking cheap tequila!

When something really GOOD happens, step up to Patron Silver (~$55).... I am hoping to bring a bottle of this to Hollister's BlazerFest next month. TASTY! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you win the lottery, look for Porfidio Single-Barrel Anejo (~$85 if you can find it, I can't anymore! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif) It's basically "sex in a bottle".....I'm usually willing to share my tequila with others, but this is one I keep all for myself! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

......and it's still under the $100 limit. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

a keg od Sierra Nevada ~$90

worth every drop.

Re: Post your best mod\'s for under a $100 !

Steering box brace - very worth it, I'd say do this first on any GM.
Ford shock towers.
Doetsch Tech long travel shocks - $33 each.

Twin Sticking an NP205 has to be the best mod under $100 I have done. Now, throw another $100 and get a CNC Cutting brake and you really have a good mod going. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have used Front Wheel Drive to move the front over while on a trail and its saweeet.

i stripped my interior, and rhino lined it, i cant hear a damn thing its so loud in there, echos likea mo fo

This has to be the best mod I've done: strip the interior and it was free! It's easy to clean(read water hose), loses weight, more room without rear seat, steel floor heats the interior nice and even during the winter and countless other benefits! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif And the loudness doesn't really matter since I run sans top 24/7! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
