Well here is the problem, short and simple.

We had the last batch (200 pair) of 14 Bolt Brake Brackets made at a local shop instead of the normal shop that was having trouble keeping up with the demand. I sent the laser file to them and they had made them before, but before we began making them bent. The file I sent did not mesh with their software and the bend lines did not automatically correct for the distance of the Caliper Pins from center like mine does.

The result is that the last 30-35 pair we have shipped could have the Caliper Pin 3/16” holes too low on the bracket, they will hit the rotor and are not useable. I say could because they were stacked right alongside the remaining brackets from the previous batch, we are still sorting them to see how many were shipped.

I will be calling everyone I believe may have been affected starting tomorrow morning. If you think yours were affected please call us and I can rush them out. We will begin sending replacements tomorrow morning with a preprinted return envelope to send the others back and a coupon good for 20% off on your next purchase, this coupon will not expire.

I am very sorry for this problem, we have over 4000 pair of these in use now and something like this tears me up but it is entirely my fault for trusting a computer and not checking them before they left the shop.

I'll say this once again, here is another stand up vendor who is taking care of a problem hopefully before it is much of a problem. Your offering for a 20% discount on a future purchase is outstanding to say the least. I'm sure whoever ended up with a bad set of your brackets will understand. Keep up the good work. :thumb:

I wish there were more parts places like you guys. It sure would make my life easier.

I don't think I've ever had anyone call me and tell me the part they sent out may be bad before I try and install it, much less offer to make it right. Usually when I get a defective (for whatever reason) part I have to spend a ridiculous amount of time convincing the miserable recently fired from the DMV loser on the phone the part is bad, then convincing them to ship me another without charging me for another part plus shipping plus return shipping plus.......

You just went up another notch and I'm sure we'll be doing business in the near future.

Awesome, Dan, just flat out awesome.

Stand behind your product. Exactly the way everyone else should be doing it, too.

Maybe you could teach 4WPW some tips and lessons on how to be a vendor.

Good job though.

props for being a standup guy...

I have an order coming your way soon...

Wow. Tell you what Ruffstuff is going to the top of my vendor list. The majority companies would try to sweep this under the rug.

You already were at the top of my list! Your willingness to talk on the phone and the way you handle your business has and will keep me a very satisfied customer.
My brackets are perfect btw .

Thanks for the support guys!

36 people were affected over the last 10 days......All replacements have been shipped as of yesterday afternoon!

Ruff Stuff was already at the top of my list, and this in one of many reasons they are staying there.:bow::bow::bow::bow:

Dan has takin way more time out of his day than he has needed to to answer my stupid questions on the phone! Have ordered from him twice now and a few more to come in the near future! He is staying on the top of my list!!
