Powder Coated Wheels, Anyone running them?

Basically that's about it. I have a set of H2 wheels that have a few rock gouges in them and after cleaning them up you can see where the clear coating has came off. I was considering having them powder coated but I was concerned about any other abuse they should endure. I realize that if they get hit they will chip but I didn't know about long term wear. I ran a set of black Rockcrawler wheels for about 5 years. They came powdercoated black. No probs...
