Need some possible inputs. My rear window just stopped working, luckly it was in the up position. I have checked all electrical connections and everything seems fine. The motor and regulator seems fine also. I'm stumped. What I would really like to do is remove the power switch and replace everything with a manual handle, is this possible? I figure why replace everything and spend 300 dollars to possible not fix it when i can spend half of it and put in a manual handle.

There is a difference in the regulator for the power and manual windows. First thing to check is the little switch, and the cable that activates it. Changing to manual is fairly easy, but requires opening the hole for the handle a bit. The power window handle is different.

I can't find the original thread where I was having trouble with mine (not a member) but mine actually got stuck halfway.

New cable from LMC truck and it goes up/down super fast. Before the cable must have been corroded causing binding. I Should have put a new one on 2 years ago.

Is there some kind of switch in one or both of the latches? I seem to remember something that wore out in my 88. Maybe a gravity switch to keep the window from moving unless the gate is up and latched.

take the panel off.. unscrew the cable from the motor.. hook a cordless drill to it, and see if goes up and down..
