My power steering hydro assist set up keeps over heating on my ls swap, I bled it multiple times and it still over heats and barfs out the top. The pump is a reman from the auto parts store. I was thinking a ps cooler and or a new pump from psc. Thoughs?

I run a cooler on my hydro assist setup. No overheating issues. It is a psc pump.
Also a psc reservoir. An assist ram requires more reservoir capacity.

Adding a ram without increasing capacity is your primary issue. The cooler is the second, however not as important depending on the vehicle use and climate.

What's the best way to add capacity

The extension hose that @cheavyk10 posted and a cooler would be the budget friendly quick fix. A PSC pump, reservoir, AN fittings and a cooler will run you north of $600. I'm on my 3rd PSC pump so I'm not a huge fan of their pumps.

Not sure if that setup will work on a LS with belt placement. I'll see what I can do.

I think that's basically the same setup as on some 80's 1-tons. Would be cool to find an adapter from the standard cap/dipstick neck down to a 1" line.
