Ours were also painted civilian colors, white, green and blue. Marine batallion under the Navy’s 5th fleet, we had some odd combos of gear.
Marines always get old and left overs
I ran hose like @cheavyk10 did on his with just normal steering and it keeps it considerably cooler
I ran a cooler and a radiator hose extension on my truck, it worked well to add some capacity.
