Has anyone else here had one of their lines fail? The line popped off the fitting up on the frame side of one of my front brake lines.

I called Pro Comp today to ask about warranty and got some snooty guy named Steve who basically told me to go pound sand...

Does anyone else here have a set that might describe the warranty on these things? For some reason I thought I remembered them having a lifetime limited warranty on defects like this.

I'm just glad it happened in the shop, and not out on the trail, or out on the highway (even worse :eek1:) I have had the lines for about a year or so now, and used them on the street before on my old K25. The line separated as I was installing it on the new K5 chassis.

Interesting. Crimp failure or perhaps suspension over extending the line?

if you can't get them to warrentee it then go with Skyjacker braided stainless lines. Thats what I have been running for three years or so with no problems. Also buy them longer than you think you need. I have the 4-8" lift set with only a 4" lift and I definately dont worry about over-extending a brake line.

I got 26" SS braided with a clear rubber protective coating on mine from Inline Tube. These guys were awsome with help/knowledge and customer service. I made about 3 calls over a month period and the guy remembered me and my "unique" situation everytime. Got 3 of the lines plus 4-5 fittings for less than $125. Don't know why people just don't use Inline?

Very true Inline Tube rocks

I have all their stainless hardlines from the M/C to each wheel. Super awsome quality and some of the best costumer service I've ever dealt with. :deal:

Cool, I'll do some checking into the various suggestions you guys gave!

That said, I got a tip from someone to call a specific person at pro comp who has warranteed this specific failure in the past. My truck doesn't have nearly enough flex to come even close to stretching the brake lines, so I am fairly sure it was a bad joint that finally let go.
