Some "repair manuals" are written in such a way so as to confuse the reader more than help or guide them thru the repairs it seems...I have a Clymer manual that refers to wrenches as "spanners" and they call gasoline "petrol",and diesel "parrafin" ...guess it was printed in Britan?.......................................................................................................................................................................................................I dont like using Motor's,Chiltons or other repair manuals much,after them telling me to remove parts that didn't need to be removed,or wait until the next page to tell me I should NOT have removed something BEFORE doing "this",after it's TOO LATE!...:doah...sometimes I think following your instincts works best...

Need a little more info. Doing a search for "engine control switch" results come from marine to diesel tractors and everything in between. What engine are you referencing this to?

Sorry, just for a 350 in an 88 Blazer. The term comes from the factory repair manual- the expensive one Chevy actually put out. I really haven't been all that impressed with it- I've got an AMC Spirit, and that factory manual is night and day better than this one. I'm 99% positive that it's talking about the ignition switch, I've just never heard it called that before.

I agree, diesel4me- a bunch of manuals seem written in order to create confusion, not lessen it.

Not at the moment. Well, I'll be going to the store to pick up a fuseable link to replace the one I just burned through, but nothing major.

Then again, if you have a CUCV brush guard, I might be interested...

Dont have a brush guard. Im on the lookout for a 6.2 or 6.5 diesel.
