Anyone ever install a speaker box in an 88-98 extended cab Chevy pickup?? I can NOT get the friggin factory jack boxout. I took out the bolt but the stud for the wingnut just won't come out and it's pissin me off

Check underneath. It might have a captured nut on the underside and you need to get some pliers out on it.

Checked but the nut looks like one of those square nuts you'd see on like a fender for the bolt to thread into and the nut stationary :dunno:

check again tomorrow though thanks

That is a captured nut or at least a close enough description. Try putting some pliers on it with a good grip and see if it will move.

Good vicegrips and tightened down so tight i squeezed with all my might to get closed. Just spun on it. think i'll have to lube the underside with something but i ran out PB blaster :doah:
