I already installed the front 6" springs ,just need to go and tighten everything up but when I dropped my rear diff to install the add a leaf I noticed one of the leafs is cracked . Right where the center locating pin is. It is completely snapped in 2 . I got into this project expecting to finish by yesturday and need the truck now. I am wondering if I could install it like that and later on come back to it and replace it. Or should I put in another leaf from the front spring I took off (it had a rough country 4"lift)? Thanks for any help!!! Also one more question , where does the add a leaf go in the spring pack , this kit came with no instructions at all.

take the same leaf out on both springs. then drive it as is but you might be ass saggin a little bit. get some springs later.

ok your rear springs are centered pins so i dont see why you couldnt put in some leafs from the front pack you have. i would replace it with one thats similar in length to the broken one. then add more if you need to.

I would not recommend leaving a big piece of steel spring loose so it can fall off while you are driving. You might hurt yourself or others. Find some way to remove or replace it.

Ok guys , thanks a bunch! Now I know why I my blazer was sagging more from that side than the other. The pitman arm came off without much effort just gotta go and bang and that steering arm to get it off . :D Off I go.

I did my 1984 blazer in about a minute with three wacks of a 5lb sledge :D

I did my 1978 stepside in about 3 hours with about a 100 wacks of a 5 lb sledge :doah:
Well , I got lucky . When I went to install the new steering arm , I found out it was the same as the one already installed. The guy that did the prior lift already had the correct steering arm . I guess a 4 and 6 " lift use the same steering steering arm?
