trying to keep the cluster from being a cluster...
So I used some tap splices and got all the back-lighting and coresponding grond wires together, connected all the positive negetive and signal wires, put in-line fuses on just about everything and built some conectors so I can yank it all back out. and kinda grouped stuff to gether with heat-shrink tubing as I went.
Questions:
Can I tie all of the positive wires together that are just supplying power to individual guages?
Can I do the same with all of the ground wires?
What size fuses do I wanna use?
My speedo and tach had lamp wires on the back of the guage ass well as the bulbs, so I still had a few tap splices and just connected them to the same dash light wire... thats OK?
I know where all the signal wires go so I'm Ok ther but the groupings I'm not so sure.

I think you need to check that "extra lamp wire" on the speedo, etc.
Those may not be for the backlighting, they may be power for the gauge itself. You won't want them on the same dimmable circuit as the backlighting (for obvious reasons) so you may need to run a dedicated +12V to power those couple gauges.
Otherwise, the "hops" you're making to connect the bulbs to each other look fine both on the +12V and the grounds.

Some of the Auto Meter guages use internal LED lighting and require a power source at the back of the gauge. Your gauges use regular bulbs and doesn't require a connection at the gauge itself.
Run down to the local Radio Shack and get a connector it will make getting the cluster in and out a whole lot easier.

Now contains actual progress!
I got the Jimmy back today with the seats installed and all the brackets for the harnesses in!
I need to finish installing and adjust all of the harnesses tonight and then I'm gonna enjoy the truck for a week or so before tearing it all apart again to sand prime and paint the rollcage, spray bed liner (any advice on bedliner?

After that I got 3 projects that all kind of mesh together... 6" lift with Shackle flip, New Gas Tank, 1" ORD body lift. I have to take out the monster tank that's in there to do the body lift and while the tank is out I can do the shackle flip etc.
I also have to pull the tranny and change seals, I have an SM465 sitting and waiting but I think if I start the auto/manual swap now it'll be spring before I get it out and running again, same with running gear. Have I mentioned I'm sitting on 170 hours of vacation and can't take any...
Oh by the way the basement came out killer! she's been eyeing the laundry room but I think she really wants to see the truck dream come to fruition at this point.

PRP Install
So I got four buckets from PRP and while it took a little longer than expected, fourth of July holiday, I forgot all about it once I got em mounted and went for a ride. They are nice, I got the sizes I wanted, mine is 2" wider and 4 " taller the wife is standard and a preteen for my 6 year old and a preemy for the 1 1/2 year old. Everybody has a 5 pt harness and I got all the mounting tabs, gussets and staked cage ends from Kert, wich saved me a ton at the Fab shop and ensured beefy construction.
I pulled ideas from the forums and things I really liked from other cages I've seen on CK5. I am very pleased with the way it came out. Anytime you don't have the skills and equipment to do something yourself you are at the mercy of others and I think I faired pretty well.

Stock tank from LMC... Easy no fab needed and current tank is not utilized and I would have had to fab up a bunch of stuff to use it with the lift and body lift...

If you want to install a stock setup, you have to unsolder the filler neck from the old stock tank and have it resoldered\brazed onto the replacement tank. Since you have an aftermarket fuelcell already, maybe it doesn't matter since that tank must have had to route the filler hose in a different way.
The LMC tank has a filler tube that points right at a bed support so you have to figure out some way to either move it or move the bed support.

That's exactly what I was trying to avoid, or I woulda bought a fuel cell.I'll see how it goes...
I can see now how people that stay in it develop all these wicked Fab Skills, If you can work metal it'd be fun, but without it it's frustrating slow and expensive...

No problem. If you have the fuel neck, it's not a big deal. I had a radiator repair shop swap mine for $40. Ouch!
But if you don't have a fuel neck in the first place that might be kinda tough.
