Progress

No worries I had the 465/205 and went with the 350/205. It was a REALLY easy straight forward swap. Now my trannies dead and I get to pull the heavy sucker out of there and Re-install after i get it rebuilt

UPS Guy

So with AD/HD I use little things to help me make decisions...

Like my shop debit card!

Should I keep the turbo 350? I hate automatics, I wanna drive mytruck I don't want more projects, the 350 is leaking, If I keep it I gotta change the seals, there's a 465-205 on craigs list, I already put a shift kit in it and I wanna sandwich and if they call it Miller Lite why am I gettin, I should call Summit!

alright, maybe he does nap in the kids beds....

I'd say if the th350 is still working and in the truck, forget about the seals and run it til it goes boom. That way you can get some drive time and also decide if you really hate the auto that bad.

I feel your pain. I accumulated all these ideas about things that "needed" to happen to the Chalet, now its a pile of parts that between work and kids I can't find the time to get back together. Part of the reason I bought the Jimmy was to be able to get my old truck driving fix until I get the other one back together and take a little of the stress off.

Slush box is going to bigbadchev84 in exchange for hydro clutch set up and I've got 465-205 waiting to go in.

why you think I should put it back in??? lol Ha!

sorry to thread jump but is there a HUGE difference between the hydro and the stock linkage? I.E. pedal pressure, and all I mean it,s not gonna feel like a honda now? cause mine is stiff as heck.... ok hyjack over good luck on the project!

Feels so good

Standing outside the truck with one leg in the door it seems pretty smooth and presure is light-ish. :wink1: As soon as I get some driveshafts I'll give ya the full report.

Right now I have all the seats and harnesses out, I'm gonna pull the cage to finish it and bedline the interior and put new bodymounts and my ORD 1" body lift... and I gotta push the 14 bolt back about 1 1/2"

I feel like I'm getting closer I just don't wanna have to redo stuff, alot.:haha:

My hydraulic clutch is from an 89 1 ton and you still know you're pushing a truck clutch. Less effort than my K5's stock clutch, but you won't be feeling like you're driving a Honda.

thx Yukon Jack.... I know mine was probably one of the reasons for a bad back but just curious none the less.

I think the honda thing was a little overboard... but you got the picture:D

New Pics

Cause stuff like brake line pics aren't so exciting... I got some pics of me paying off the Hydro clutch install.

Time to replenish the build fund!

I never ever counted on having the Jimmy sitting in the middle of the shop for 6 months. My shop normally produces wooden stuff mostly bowls and art pieces that I sell to generate DadMoney. I'm out of build money and I have a couple grand in orders waiting so...

I had to rig up the brakes and teach my 7 year-old daughter how to help me bleed them, the driveway is pretty steep and I don't have an e-brake or driveshafts at this point so even though I'm gonna have to redo it, I kinda thought we should have at least that.

What I did get done: auto to manual convrsion with a 465 and Centerforce clutch, 6" lift with ORD Shackle flip, 14 bolt ff 10 bolt, 1" ORD bodylift, Poly everything with lots of nipples.

Next step is to pull the cage out and get it finnished, prep and spray bed liner, Get the Boggers mounted, install dash, order shafts, figure out witch way to go for an e-brake. Probably get Justin to put a new wire harness in etc etc
