As some of you may know, MTChevy brought his truck to me a few weeks ago, to have me paint it. Well, now that i have all the materials to get started, I wil do just that.

This mirror got pushed in hardcore!

Any guesses on who did this? :D

Hey Cole... Do I get to keep all the change i find? :D

and, a pile of parts!

This will be "our" build thread. I will try to be as thorough as I can without acting like everyone on here is a dumbass. :D

Can't wait to see this. What kind of paint are you going to spray on it?

cool, cant wait to see how it turns out, i'm goin to paint my blazer orange, cuz its by far the most badass color out there..haha

That black and silver paint scheme and the black interior are the exact same spittin' image of my '85 K30.

Sad to see the colors changing now.

BTW, is the interior going to remain black? What about the interior pieces you've removed? Gonna put them back in or not? Anything of the interior that does not go back in, I'm interested in buying for extra spares for my K30.

I agree with you about the stock colors mang, but when you got customers with an idea in their head, its hard to tell them otherwise. I'm not going to paint the interior, and i think we're going to use all the stuff I stripped today.

It's actually Sherwin Williams. I've never sprayed it before, so we'll see how it turns out.To tell you the truth, I'm not too savvy of it.

hehehe reminds me of a tech student

all the parts are going back in, nothing is going out.

again with the stock colors, if the truck was stock, it would go right back to the stock colors,

paint is Atomic Orange, as seen on the brand new 2008 Corvette. Got it at cost at work so i couldnt pass it up.

Gonna put a giant "01" on the side of the doors? :D

I've not personally sprayed it, but I know ppl that have. They seem to like it, but they say it sprays a little funny. The only Sherwin Williams I've sprayed was their primer. Some nasty smelling pink chit. I hope it turns out well, it's a hell of a nice color. What are the specs on that truck?

I'll let the owner of the truck tell you.

well, after I finish this pot of coffee ill go out to the garage and do some more. maybe ill start tearin into that cab corner...

well, got the cab corner almost done! Just need to lay a superthin coat of filler over the weld area!

looks a ****ton better!

What took me the longest was getting that filler piece just perfect so i could have a bit of a gap and make it fit good. all in all, it was pretty easy. just gotta take your time. Maybe I'll inspire someone else to tackle sheetmetal in their rig.

Looks good so far.

Don't worry about trying to get me to tackle sheetmetal any time soon.

I'm a 1990 graduate from a vocational college in automotive body technology. Just stupid I'm not using the degree today for a career. :(
