Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

He mentioned he could drive it now, he just doesn't want the drain on finances. If he is making a daily 45 minute each way trip, that will get really expensive in a hurry. I have done it with Krusty, and it is not cheap, plus you are really putting a lot of wear and tear to drive it daily like that.

Ben, you need to sit down and consider your options. Good weather will be here before you know it, and this truck is REALLY close to being ready to rock. If you give up now, you let yourself.......and a lot of CK5 readers down in a big way.

you can def. get a few hundred dollar beater and do fine with it. the cost of insurance shouldnt go up much at all. Gieco is super super cheap, im around your age and pay like absolutly nothing a year for the min. state insurance. Keep the truck.
 
Ben, DRIVE THE TRUCK!!! I drove my truck 45mins into Boston everyday during the summer. I loved driving that thing, no one ever gave me trouble on the highway especially when they see nothing but grill in their rear view mirror. I saved my money and then bough a little 4banger S10 at the end of the summer. My truck is higher and has no OD, you should be getting better mpg that I do. Ben man up and drive your baby. She's been sitting for almost 2 years, she's begging to be driven.

moving in two weeks, and the truck is coming with me to be finished in my best buds garage :wink1:

Glad to hear you're keeping at it. I've been considering selling mine, but it's a pretty cool toy...and it's paid for!

so here I go again. I've just lost interest in this thing, and really need to recover some money to pay off my debt. I have a DD now, and if I choose to start a new project (I will eventually) I'll make sure I have the place to keep it and actually be able to drive it. I'm ready for the ration of chit I'm gonna get, but I need it gone, and I need the money. This is my absolute last resort :(
